I either ignore it or I make fun of them.
usually when people are made fools of they stop talking or are at least put in their place.
for example when someone on here goes on the "Jews control everything" rant I start agreeing with them and tell them in full detail that now that they know our secret he will be forced to be subject to re-education or be silenced.

Racism can be represented in multiple forms, even by simple body expression (facil expression). There is no particular way or form to respond to a racist attack, unless of course, you want a response in the same proportion or worse (you attack your attacker).
I would say, depending on the situation/location/timing, simply ignore your agressor; if you have a chance to discuss politely, invite him or her to openly discuss the differences. Nothing better than communication to solve differences.

As an American Christian I can see how we could unintentionally make an offensive remark.
I would have to ask what you mean by that .
Could just be a misunderstanding.
I know discrimination in a different way than you do. So it would be too easy to make a mistake to get pushed out of shape.

I do my best to answer back politely, and when I see comment after comment then I do my best to ignore. And sometimes, sadly, I explode at the end. Peace to all!

I get very angry at first then I realize they are just blubbering idiots. I try to educate them and be peaceful, but if they are persistent with their racism, I blow up at them.

I don't turn the other cheek. More accurately, I reply with some extremely harsh and sometimes devilishly cruel remark. Sometimes it makes my opponents cry. I have been known to do that.
