I'm looking for things really specific to Kenya. Also, a description of the general layout of one of the huts would be helpful.
Thanks!

Why does it seem that there is such a high occurrence of infidelity among South Africans, both male and female? I am an American and I just returned to the U.S. after living in Cape Town for two years. I have lived and worked in many countries around the world, including several other African countries, and nowhere else have I encountered such an epidemic of cheating spouses and significant others. Intuitively, one would think that because of the high rate of HIV, people would be afraid to engage in casual sex. So I ask, is this problem a result of cultural, societal or historical factors and what can be done to resolve it?

Just finished watching Blood diamond. I really enjoyed the part where Leo Di Caprio says to his South African friend:"Hey, score us a loose (cigerette) there."
And hearing Arnold Vosloo talk in Afrikaans actually made me miss home, despite the violence in the movie.
But why on earth did they have Marius Weyers playing Van der Kaap if he only says two words in the whole movie. Do you think that they actually had him saying more and then edited it out?

I was wondering about some laws in Egypt. I was wondering what the legal drinking age is, the legal smoking age, and the legal driving age. Just wondering, I might be moving there around the summer time. Thanks for all who can help! And if anyone knows any other certain Egyptian laws that most people don't know about would be of great help!

Before you guys get angry and attack me, please listen to what I have to say! A co-worker recently said that South Africans MUST be ignorant or plain stupid to not rise above the problems the country is facing. In a way I agreed with this. But then I thought about the insult a bit more and remembered the lack of knowledge and uninformed comments from other nations and that got me thinking... I've worked with many foreigners, from Japanese to Americans and some are still good friends. But some (and I won't mention the nationalities) complain with every breath they take, others have nothing positive to say about anything whatsoever, some can't keep a conversation when it doesn't include some kind of technological agenda and some can't even open their mouths. I'm talking about only four different nationalities here. Last month in South Africa, I talked politics with the bum on the street! Is it okay for foreigners to call us ignorant when they themselves can't keep a decent conversation?

hiya - i'm off to marrakesh in 2 weeks - i've bought the guidebook, done some research and checked out trip advisor etc... - and thought i'd ask the good folk here for 'real' advice.

my plan (by plan i mean idea that i don't mind ripping up and going with the flow) is to spend a few days in marrakesh and then head down towards the southern oasis routes and the edge of the dunes. ride a camel. camp out under the stars. say 'wow there's loads of stars, london has about 4' rather a lot.

what i'd like to know is if you have any experiences that you'd like to share, any things/sights/places that you found that blew your socks off. hotels in marrakesh you like? is is bloody cold or am i being barmy as it's positively balmy? anything you'd say 'good god man don't go without .......'

thanks all - appreciation in advance. i'm only there for 6 days - and i really want to make the most of it

This was the vision of Nelson Mandela in 1984, when he wrote "The Future of South Africa". Do you think South Africans have been accepted by the world as being responsible? Please be fair in your answer. Crime and AIDS have put us back hundreds of years, but the world still showed their respect for the country when they awarded the Football / Soccer World Cup to South Africa. Also, on a different note, our efforts to strengthen and consolidate democracy are recognized worldwide.

1) 250 AK-47 in good condition with 250,000 7.62x39mm cartridges
2) 50 used (but clean) 81 mm Mortars preferably M252
3) 25 120mm long-range artillery piece with 3000 shells (self propelled if possible)
4) 15 clean M113 (preferably used within the Lebanese Army & not militias)

I was thinking of home delivery if possible.

Thanks
