hmmmmm.... stellenbosch.... what fabulous memories lol
cheese and wine on the patio at the lanzerac... stunning vineyards and mountains (if you're lucky with a little snow cap inthe winter)... trees, rivers... beautiful old historical buildings just drenched in tradition, murati and the best port in the world... not to mention one of the finest universities... just "down the road" from gordons bay...
property is expensive there and will continue to esculate - crime is lower than in other areas but still does exist to some degree. great investment! prime area!

Safe in terms of will your money be secure? Yes, totally. asafe in terms of living there? Well S.A. as a stupidly high crime rate but there aren't bullets flying everywhere. Extra security is vital (grills on windows, alarms and be careful at night.) And when you've finished sorting all that out, go and have a glass of pinotage and some calamari outside "The Blue Orange" on the main drag.

It's a very beautiful sought-after town. I'm going to study there next year :D I'd say it's a safe place to buy property. The prices are extremely high, but it'll be a good investment to buy property... everywhere in SA for that matter.
