What, if anything, does this mean to you as Israelis? Also, do you think their claims behind the boycott are anti-semetic in nature or justified by Israel's political actions?

I am from Israel and one of my friends here is named Farah. Her father is from Morrocco and her mother's family is from Poland. She says that she is named after someone from her mother's family, but I thought it was an Arabic name. Does anyone know if it is Arabic or if it is a name common to non-Arabs as well?

Every woman should have four pets in her life. A mink in her closet, a jaguar in her garage, a tiger in her bed, and a jackass who pays for everything

The money that would be used to help rebuild a questionable and constant unstable country like Lebanon could be better spent on joint USA/ Israel hi tech industry, also Israel is the USA's closest ally.

Living in Spain I have to get all the day to day things done in Spanish while adapting to their system and culture.

At times when I am having discussions with some Spanish friends I find it frustrating that I can´t express myself as completely as I would be able to in English.

Have you ever thought about how a lot of SA people on this forum, and in daily life, who do not have the advantage of being mother tongue English speakers may struggle to express themselves?

Is credit not due to Zim$, Vango, Inno, Poepies, Tsepo etc.?
(Whose English are all good. Apologies for those I did not mention.)

What do you think?

"A large Coke." The Chinese dude gives him one. He takes a swallow and spits it back out.

The rest of the world sees Africa as one homogenous block (especially Americans), yet when we debate the idea of a united Africa in a political and economic sense (e.g. the EU or even the US), we Africans have huge issues with it. My question in plain English is, do you think we can ever have a United States of Africa? If not, why not? Why do we as Africans have such an issue with it when the whole world sees us as one troubled block anyway?

A woman was walking along the beach when she stumbled upon a Genie's lamp. She picked it up and rubbed it, and lo-and-behold a Genie appeared. The amazed woman asked if she was going to receive the usual three wishes.

The Genie said, "Nope ... due to inflation, constant downsizing, low wages in third-world countries, and fierce global competition, I can only grant you one wish. So ... what'll it be?"

The woman didn't hesitate. She said, "I want peace in the Middle East. See this map? I want these countries to stop fighting with each other."

The Genie looked at the map and exclaimed, "Gadzooks, lady! These countries have been at war for thousands of years. I'm good, but not THAT good! I don't think it can be done. Make another wish."

The woman thought for a minute and said, "Well, I've never been able to find the right man. You know, one that's considerate and fun, likes to cook and helps with the housecleaning, is good in bed and gets along with my family, doesn't watch sports all the time, and is faithful. That's what I wish for ... a good mate."

The Genie let out a long sigh and said, "Let me see that ******* map!"
