I'm not sure exactly.. but i know when I went to Egypt over my winter break .. and i traveled with my cousin shen said i would need to get a visa when i arrive in Egypt.

yes on entry to Egypt you will need to buy as visa unless you are only visiting the Sinai peninsular area and do not intend to leave for the duration of your stay which must be for no more than 10days. Other wise you can buy your visa on entry with euros or £'s it cost around £10 maybe a little more depending on the exchange rate. ohhh your passport must also have at least 6 months left on it before it expires

I don't know about a visa, but as of now you do need a pass port.
