...I couldn't disagree more with that myth. I always have found the majority of NYers to be helpful, friendly, and proud of their city.

Are they rushed? They have to be, they're a busy people.

Are they cautious? They have to be, we're not talking about Oz here.

Are they open-minded? Well, in a city that attracts people from 170 different nations, why wouldn't you be?

Do they help their fellow human beings in times of dyer need? NYers seem to be among the first to do so. Remember 9-11?

I believed the whole "New York rude" myth UNTIL I visited. Now, I want to thank NYers for your gift to the world: Your great city! There are nice and mean folks everywhere. I live in Kentucky: jerks and snobs a-plenty here!

I'm looking for a nice little 2 or 3 day vacation out somewhere in the middle of Texas. I live in Austin, so I'm looking to get away from it. Does anyone have any idea where a good place to go would be? =]

Post - It's a road trip with my father, so about 50-200 miles plus or minus a few, with a little class.

Thanks!

I found a couple of places that I can rent for only $650 a month. I will have roomates, that is why I have it so cheap. That means I have about 4 months of rent already and 4 months of food payed for, plus the ticket to get there. I will find a full time job doing something with no pressure, like working at walmart or a waiter at Chilis or something. I just want to enjoy my year off of school and work. I am 22 years and single, no attachment. Do you think I need to buy a car for that one year or can I get away with public transportation and a mountain bike? I want to explor the entire island during that year! How much more money do you think I should save up.

Hello, my friends and I are all 19/20 and are planning on going to Ibiza for the first time next summer (2008) from the Manchester area. We would like to know when is the best time to go and where is the best place to stay and check out? Which clubs are a must and does it work out cheaper staying 10 nights or 14, we aren't sure how long we are going to stay yet. We may either stay in a hotel or rent a villa somewhere, any suggestions where (and how to go about booking one)?! Where can we find the best deals, we may go in a group of 10 if possible and we budget around £800-£1200 each for absolutely everything!! I’m personally into dirty twisted electro house and trance! Oh and please do tell me which are the best beaches to visit and any tips about saving money/getting around and if there are any scams to avoid. Thanks X

I like Hawaii very much and have been there many times-tropical .I have been to St Lucia and that is a 3 rd world country. So I imagine the Philippines to be a mix of the two.

Would you rather be called a spinster or a divorcee, or does it really matter to you what people will refer to you as?

Hi,

I just got a new job and am hoping someone who does a similar drive at 7:30 in the morning will know the most uncongested route to take.....everyone is saying to avoid I-94 going into Chicago because it is all stop and go..

I am going from Gurnee, IL to Lake Cook Rd in Northbrook, IL.....mapqest estimates the drive at 30 minutes, but I know it will be significantly longer in the morning rush hour.

Which way would you go?
