Hi,

I just got a new job and am hoping someone who does a similar drive at 7:30 in the morning will know the most uncongested route to take.....everyone is saying to avoid I-94 going into Chicago because it is all stop and go..

I am going from Gurnee, IL to Lake Cook Rd in Northbrook, IL.....mapqest estimates the drive at 30 minutes, but I know it will be significantly longer in the morning rush hour.

Which way would you go?

The tollway is normally not that bad. You can also take Milwaukee Ave up there. Northbrook Court is nearer to route 41 than Milwaukee Ave and the tollway.

try taking US Hwy. 41 (Skokie Hwy), which parallels I-94. It's a divided highway with mixed interchanges and traffic lights, and is toll-free unlike I-94.
