Some countries you dont need visas to travel to if you have an Egyptian passport and it can make life cheaper, such as for studying and also if you wanted to travel to other countries such as Jordan you would pay have the price of someone without an Egyptian passport. Jordan and Egypt have a deal. Malaysia doesnt require a visa for Egyptains but it does for Americans there are many countries like this.

Also to take some services in Egypt its cheaper if you show the Egyptian passport.

Also if you lost one passport at least you can travel with the other.

Also for registration of your coming child ISA in the states if you went to the Egyptian embassy to register him, you will need your Egyptian passport so that the embassy can register your child as a Egyptian (they can do it with your residence ID card- but its easier with a passport)- even though he would be dual national) Egypt will still recognise your son as Egyptian, hence if god forbid anything happens then the Egyptian embassy in the states can help you and your family more because you actually hold the passport.

For example if someone in my family God forbid died here in UK and we needed to get the bodies back to Egypt (because no one wants to be buried outside of Egypt, including i dont want that for my children if anything happened) then the Egyptian embassy can help with the paperwork process.

I hope that makes sense buts thats just my own reasons, maybe it could apply to you in some ways but only you know what things you want to do such as travel and study and for your family

Hope that your pregnancy is going well x

Bossy ba2a don't piss me off! Yes it's my country, I love it, and am proud to belong to it and carry it's passport! Hubby has a Hungarian passport, but only uses it when necessary since it's easier at times to obtain visas on a European passport. Other than that he uses his Egyptian passport. I'm against my daughter getting one too though I know it's mad and hubby will probably get his way eventually and issue her one! I'm being sentimental and emotional I know, but to me it's a matter of pride not practicality. I'm proud to be Egyptian and proud to hold an Egyptian ID and would never trade it for anything in the world.

I know ya sit ruby it isn't what makes you Egyptian and I know I'm not being practical bas ana mo7'y kida ba2a ***** adeema! loooooool

It depends on the pub. Where I used to work, we only accepted licence/passport as standard, if anything else was offered, the managers had to use their judgement. Some places accept citizencards etc, but pubs are only obliged to accept licence/passport. In real life, it's far simpler just to get a license, even if you don't actually intend to drive.

an egyptian passport shows my identity as an egyptian when im outside the country.
my id is enough in egypt , but my egyptian passport is a necessity when im abroad.
so, it is vital to me and to others .
my passport must be renewed before it expires so that i can be ready to travel at any time.
