Travel - 24 November 2007

I found out I was moving on June 1st. I've lived (in the place i've been living in) for five years. I really don't want to move but, I have no say in the matter. What should I do?

I'm taking my wife and daughter (4 years old) to Chicago for a couple days of shopping in December. Most of the time is devoted to them (American Girl, Magnificent Mile, etc.), but we're going to ESPN Zone for lunch just a few hours before we leave. I need to make sure that I hold back enough cash for lunch, but the restaurant's website doesn't show any pricing except for games. Any ballpark figures for an entree and a couple of drinks between us? Thanks.

On Yahoo Maps,I asked for a map to a place I'll be visiting,but I want to take a different route to it than the route Yahoo Maps charts for me. I've traced it out before so I know the roads exist,but would like my map to show this alternate route so I'll have the mileage breakdowns and more exact locations of the turnoffs. Is this something I can change?

I'm an Officer in the Navy, 38 single and am transferring to Fort Meade, MD next April to work. Trying to figure out which place to move to (heard Annapolis or Baltimore City) ... considering traffic to Fort Meade in the morning and enjoying the night life. I do prefer brownstones and the city life over that of suburban homes (like downtown Manhattan) areas. Appreciate any and all feedback about traffic and where you would live if you had the opportunity to choose somewhere new? Thanks in advance for your help.

I would like to drive my 4wd VW camper from my home in San Francisco Ca. to England. Driving to the East of Canada is not a problem nor is getting a car ferry from Iceland to Scotland. What I can not find out is how to get me and the van from the East of Canada to Iceland. If there is anyone who can help me with this problem that would be great. Thanks, Shaun.S

First Time Cruiser on Carnival Paradise on 12/17/07, departing from Long Beach, stops to Catalina Island and Ensenada.

1. Anybody going on this specific cruise?
2. Are all food free? Including the formal-dining food?
3. For the dining room, do I have to wear a tie?
4. Which types of beverage are free?
5. How does the buffet work? Do I walk in, get my food, and dine on any table? Or do I need to be waited by a server?
6. Where do I get the entire schedule for music and entertainment?
7. Do I need to dress up for the theater show?
8. Any specific things I should look out for?
9. Recommended excursions?

A cruise-boat seems like it has their own little world. I don't know anything and not sure what to expect... Help! =)

I just relocated to California from Florida for a job position in Santa Monica. I will be working on Wilshire and 17th street. I was wondering if anyone has booked their cave tubing shore excursion through www.belizecruiseexcursions.com before and have done the Xtreme Cave Tubing. I was considering booking through them instead of through RCCL. I know the risks involved but from the website it seems to be ok. Anyone have any thoughts?
