Hollywood is a neighborhood inside the city of Los Angeles. Hollywood is part of the city of Los Angeles so there is no difference. It is part of the same thing. So there are many different neighborhoods within the city. Which one would you like to compare with Hollywood?

Hollywood is in LA county. The next city over from LA the city. On the map its different city but people consider it a part of LA. There's really not much of a difference. When people picture LA they visualize Hollywood and the life style they sometimes depict in films, which its not. Its actually a pretty filthy town.

Los Angeles is a very BIG city stretching about 50 miles from north to south. Inside this area are many different cities. Hollywood is one of them.
