does the EPA regulate all sink/tap water?
why are there filters such as brita if tap water is safe to drink?
what about areas where there are a lot of nitrates in the tap water?

i'm doing a presentation trying to persuade the audience tap water is just as good as if not better than bottled water..

I live in the UK and i am going to visit my boyfriends family there. He says its nice and modern and had world class ammenities, however, my father was there in the 80's to visit the GM proving grounds (he works for vauxhual) and said it was a god-awful dump. However, the pictures shown to me look like there is some stuff there. So whats it like? Should I pack for the heap or for a night on the town?

please keep in mind I am a 26 year old asian male professional. I heard Atlanta is still somewhat segregated and certain races prefer to keep to themselves ( I am from Los Angeles where all ethnicities are pretty mixed and open) My current job has positions open nationwide so finding work is not a problem for me.

I am considering factors such as cost of living, entertainment options, job market, culture of people living there, etc..... ANy help would be greatly appreciated from people who know both cities.

I am taking my sister to Paris in mid December for 5 days. We need two single rooms.

From the map, it appears that the Lourve or Notre Dame area is just about the most centralized.

I want a nice, comfortable hotel that has some charm. I would rather not stay in some Holiday Inn or Best Western chain. It kind of spoils the allure of France.

On the other hand, "charming" should not include tiny beds with worn out mattresses and lumpy pillows.

The ideal hotel would be under $170 a night, have a decent restaurant, and large beds. Neither one of us likes those ridiculously narrow European style twin beds, even if two are pushed together.

I've been to Paris once, and if I recall correctly, I stayed in the St. Germain area, perhaps a five minute walk to Notre Dame. It was a good area.

Lastly, besides the major tourist attractions, can you recommend any good sites to see? We would also like to see a show, perhaps at the Moulin Rouge.

Let's face it,the government hasn't done much with it and those people are going through hell. They'll never get their real homeland back, with the U.S. standing guard over the jews and serving as it's attack dog.
