Both are good and right on the strip. Both have European themes. I would pick the cheaper one (Venetian) and go have fun at both places. The Bellagio buffet is better!

I debated staying at the Venetian and the Bellagio myself, and picked the Venetian because:

a) The ambiance cannot be beat
b) It has a vast array of restaurants, from mid-priced to four-star cuisine
c) There is more to do inside the hotel
d) It's the home of Tao, one of the hottest nightclubs in Las Vegas
e) It's new addition, The Palazzo, is opening in December 2007

Though the Bellagio is beautiful, and arguably just as luxurious, I've heard that the staff can be snooty and strict. For example, some guests complain about fraudulent mini-fridge charges on their bills. Apparently, the hotel automatically charges you if you pick up a bag of chips, even if you set it right back.

Either way, both of the hotels are spectacular, so you really can't go wrong. Have fun!

Between those 2, the Bellagio is much nicer. But the Venetian is worth a visit for the shopping.

I love the Venetian, my mother loves Bellagio. I like the two level suite style of the Venetian. They both have nice stores and casino areas seem camparable. I do love the Belladio's Display in the garden it is wonderful. But what can compare to walking around inside and seeing a sky and looking down and seeing a gondola floating by. Also they have packages that include going to see Phantom of the Opera and going to Madame Tussants (sorry if I spelled that wrong). They are both nice but my vote goes to the Venetian.

I personally love the Venetian. The service is impeccable and it costs less than Bellagio. If you stay at the Venetian, I highly recommend the Canyon Ranch Spa Club - it's a wonderful retreat.

Well both are just as expensive and I love 'em both too. Venetian seems to have MUCH more to do so than Bellagio, so I say Venetian. Gondola rides, Grand Canal Shoppes, Fine dining restaurants, enormous casino and soon to be the largest on the strip after expanding! Also, it in the middle of the strip, close to everything and makes it easier to walk. It's also right next door to my all-time fave casinos, the Wynn and Paris. Be sure to check them out too.

Well stay very far away from the old Vegas! creepy! The Bellagio I think would be a better place for you to stay. Now if your gonna gamble. stay off the strip! go to the local Casino's!! A very nice to stay is at any station casino! Watch out if your being driven by a taxi driver! They're know for taking you way out of your way. for the money. On a machine, if it's not playing after the forth try, pull your ticket out and put it back in. your looking for that perfect game Win some money!! good luck! hey if you can get a rent a car!! your save money and time. So have a great stay!!!
