Has anyone recently stayed in the Silom area of Bangkok? We are traveling with children which means I will probably need two rooms. I see mixed reviews for the Dusit Thani and for two rooms it could get costly. The Holiday Inn and Tawana are cheaper, but is it a real drop in quality? Any recent experience would be appreciated.

I need to drive to SFO from santa clara to catch an 8:30am flight, the shortest route is through 101 north... how crazy it is to drive on 101 north in the morning? when does it usually start getting congested? Thanks~~

I am moving to Romania in about 3 weeks, currently I am on a low dose of Xanax for anxiety over the move from the US to Brasov. How do I go about getting my medicine once we are there. I only need about 2 more months to ween myself off the them once we are settled. Do I need to visit a Dr or can you get them at a pharmacy.

I searched for this topic, but all I was able to find was stuff about guns and foodstuffs. This question applies to both my pocketknife and any swords/knives/sharp shiney things I might be able to buy in canada. If you are taking a 14 month old on a cruise, should you bring a car seat for shore excursions which may involve bus rides? It is to alaska, so I would assume they have the same regulations on children being in car seats, right??

I am going on a Royal Caribbean cruise next year in February and I was just wondering what are some good things to do on the boat and off the boat. The boat is called Freedom of the Seas and it is stopping at Haiti, Jamaica, Cozumel, and either Costa Maya or some place else that has to words in it. Being a Canadian, I heard I need to declare (or fill up a form) when I leave Canada (to U.S. or oversea) with any valuable items (e.g. expensive watch, jewelry) so that I won't be bothered when I return to Canada (so that Canada custom won't suspect you purchase the item(s) outside Canada and subject them to taxing)? True or it is just urban legend?
