I am going on a Royal Caribbean cruise next year in February and I was just wondering what are some good things to do on the boat and off the boat. The boat is called Freedom of the Seas and it is stopping at Haiti, Jamaica, Cozumel, and either Costa Maya or some place else that has to words in it. Thanks and I hope you look into going on a cruise, too.

I am under 18, so I cannot go into any bars and I hate going to dance/teen clubs!

On the ship there is tons of things to do. I just lay out by the pool and enjoy having the wait staff bring me drinks, but you get a list of activities each night that will list all the things going on each day.

In Jamaica I would take a shore excursion. You don't want to wander around Jamaica on your own. There are lots of shore excursions in Jamaica so pick whichever one interests you. I'd avoid anything that sounds like something I could do at home--like Jeep rides, or city tours. Usually they rate them based on activity level so find one that meets the amount of activity you wish to spend.

In Cozumel, I recommend taking your own snorkeling equipment and just taking a cab to the National Park. It was GORGEOUS! Great snorkeling, wonderful beach. Cozumel is my favorite island by far. And completely safe. If you are going to not take a shore excursion and just wander, Cozumel is the place to do it.

Never been to Haiti but I was looking over the site. Sounds like an excellent place to do something sporty. Parasail, kayak. Perhaps a hiking tour. It sounds very beautiful but if you just want to relax it sounded like the beaches were right there as well.

I didn't see where Freedom of the Seas goes Costa Maya (I thought that was just a Carnival port but could be wrong)--but that is just a refueling stop. Not a real port. Just some hired dancers, a few shops. Nothing much. I might stay on the ship that day. When I was there it was so outrageously hot that I did stay on the ship, laying out by the pool so that I could get some air and frozen drinks brought to me. I was one of about 6 people by the pool so I had my own personal waiter. You could order non-alcoholic frozen beverages. If that 2 word place was Grand Cayman, see the Stingrays at Stingray City. That is fabulous.

As soon as you get the info on shore excursions start looking through it and pick out what you want to do. The most popular ones fill up fast.

I have been on that cruise in fact. Depends on your age, if you like to dance and the club scene then on that boat is great club that plays all kinds of dance music and of course there is the top of the ship where there is a great bar. I see Cozumel is on your list. Spend $50 and rent a scooter for the day and be sure to go to Carlos and Charlies. The food is great and it will be an unforgetable experience.

In Cozumel we went to Passion Island it was awesome. It was so beautiful. Shopping in Cozumel is great to. You can get some great deals. Bargain with them. Also in grand cayman don't shop it's so expensive compared to mexico. try the seven mile beach or sting rays. that's cool too.
Royal Caribbean is awesome. Have fun, there is never time to worry about anything they have so much to do. Party Eat relax whatever you want they have it all. I can't wait till my next cruise and i just came home from mine two weeks ago.

Closer to your voyage you will get a booklet from the cruise line listing things to do (excursions) on the islands. You can even reserve them in advance. I like to wait till I arrive to decide what to do, depending on my mood, my wife's mood and the weather.
