Travel - 23 February 2007

I recently posted a question to find more info. and such on Ireland. I wanted to Thank those that responded.

I just wanted to point a few things out. First off, part of the project is a book of 138 pages, that have to be filled. Of course it has questions and directions on each page. She is in honors 5th grade ect.

This is her project, but yes I am helping her, so she does not get overwhelmed....isn't that what parents do? As for posting the questions myself, I did that for safety reason because my child is only ten. Thank you.

My mother, who is a Phillippine citizen wants to give me her piece of land because she knows I want to retire there. I know I can go there as "balik bayan" because my mother is Filipino and stay for a year versus 21 days, but owning property, I'm not sure.

My husband is stationed in Osan, Korea. He gets to come home for one month in September, every site I've looked at gives me prices between 970 and 1200... ROUND TRIP!!! I have to buy his ticket in the next month or two, where is the cheapest website OR what other airports are cheaper to fly into? We live near LA, CA but I researched Las Vegas and San Diego and San Fran... those all have the same prices, I'll drive up to 6-8 hrs to save a few hundred bucks... my car is good on gas.... Why is it that the Philippines section of Yahoo! Answers travel forum seems to be the one with the most stupid irrelevant questions, 80% of them having absolutely nothing to do with travel.

Most of the questions are about gossip, politics, religion or food.

Does anybody posting such stupidity realise that all their questions are also viewed on the worldwide section of Travel in general?

How do you all think the rest of the World views the moronic stuff that appears on this site. Do you really think Filipinos will become known for their knowledge and intelligence in this way.......

Are there flats (Studios or 1 Bedroom, for 1 person) in Central London, United Kingdom, that come with Gym facilities, and/or have doormen too? I lived there for 4 years prior, but haven't really noticed any flats with facilities... the best they do is give you a lift (elevator).

My budget is anything below GBP 300 per week.
