I'd love to visit there. It has such a rich and beautiful history. There are amazing historical sites. There's Persepolis, the tomb of Cyrus te Great, salt deserts, the Alisadr cave, Ekbatan, beautiful mountains, the Caspian Sea and Persian Gulf, and so much more. Plus, the culture is so interesting, as is the current political situation. I'm hoping to get a visa there in a few years. I'm also not Iranian, by the way.

I think the Iran/Iraq area would be amazing to see. There's so much history in that area. Most of the first civilizations started there between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. It's too bad the area is so politically turbulent and dangerous for travelers, especially Americans.

i am iranian guy
i yhink iran has alot of nice and historical places to visit
foreigner think about iran such they heard in medias and when they come to iran would be surprised that here is very different from that they heard . iran is very beautiful and is a 4 season country weather is very different depend to location

bet ur an Iranian .However as an Irani-American ,I wanna tell u all ,that's really really safe place to travel to .people mostly r hospitable but the politicians crazy.go ,visit and enjoy .u can't find any place like that different in everything .It doesn't look like Iraq .it's a unique place in the world.Great civilization ,great history .we were the best and soon gonna be again.
