This is a follow up to a previous question. If you were travelign to Chang Mai and Bangkok how would you handle your cash. Since this is a place where majority of the street vedors and places probally do not accept credit card. I have a 2000USD budget for my 14 day trip. How would you divide that money? Would you convert maybe $500 to Thai baht and 1000 in Travelers Checks? Or keep it in your US account and withdraw money from an ATM there in Thailand? Your advice please. It has been a while since I traveled so far out of the country.
Thanks,

Hello

My airline have changed my itinerary without informing me, I'm on the frequent flyer programme. Uniteds.

I'm due to fly out in September, the flight was due to be a direct flight from LHR to LAX and now is LHR > Chicago > Los Angeles. I4 hours instead of 11.

I wasn't informed in writing about this or email, I have of course complained - though should they compensate me with a free upgrade to first class for the inconvience caused.

I've only flown twice - the last time I got upgraded to Business - complete surprise, and the first time to premium economy.

I'm due to go in September

Thanks
Andrew

I am going on a cruise in the next few months and will be calling Carnival directly about booking (along with talking to TAs and searching online). Obviously, I would like the best deal possible. What is the best way to go about asking for a better deal that what Carnival offers on their website (or deals offered on rival travel websites)? Anyone know of any tips/tricks that have worked other than playing them off one another? If anyone had good experiences with a Carnival rep, please feel free to pass along their name! :)

I knew a Hawaiian lady, she said when she was very young, she and her brothers and cousins would watch the cemetary near her home. When people would leave food for their ancestors, she and her relatives would wait until the people left and go eat the food! I just wondered if people still leave food.
