Anyone knw which place is cheaper? Is the things there cheap?

I'm a 25 year old african american female who enjoys a good night life (jazz bars and upscale clubs), outdoor festivals and lots of cultural events. The beach, a somewhat laid back atmosphere with beautiful outdoor scenery. I would be working in the financial service industry, and would want to live close to work. A lot of banks tend to have their headquarters in a downtown/center of town area. I love Ft. lauderdale because I live in downtown, close to work, the nightlife and the beaches, but it's way too expensive, so I'm looking for a place with the same feel. I'm not sure if Austin, Houston, Dallas or San Antonio would offer that. I'm really confused because of some of the things I'm read about the different areas so far. Honestly, it doesn't even have to be Texas, I'm just looking to leave S.Florida and go somewhere cheaper that offers those key things. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I have a choice on the biggest plane out there in the economy class. If i sit in the isle seat, people who want to go pee will kepe bothering me on my right and the flight attendants will keep bumping into my legs. But i have to pee a lot myself, so if i sit near the window, i will be bothering the people next to me a lot. What do you guys suggest or would do ?

Ive been trying to transfer money from KB bank to my US account, and got the runaround from the bankers- I got that I can send money to just about anyone BUT myself back home. Which seems like a load of crap and trap to keep money in the country.

anyone know of the best way to do this and NOT involve someone stateside? I looked into a paypal transfer, but couldnt get my account authorized online. Thinking of just offering to have a Korean sent up an account at paypal and help them to send me the money. Anything to screw back at the banks!

any other ideas??

My friends and I are planning a vacation to Florida. We're thinking of staying in hostels but I'm wondering how safe it is to do that. Will it be better to stay in motels? or are hostels fine saftey wise? Thanks!

Why in the world did voters elect Imelda Marcos and her relatives after her family destroyed the country? I'm not sure if any of them are still in office, but how could they ever have been after Ferdinand died? Please don't give obvious answers like "money". I work in the square mile, but am looking to find an area to live outside london that is nice, but has great access to the city (30 minute train journey or less).

Ideally looking for an express train town that has few stops between it and London, but still has walking access to a Tescos, Sainsburys, etc. The further away from London the cheaper it is to buy a place (most of the time), so the further the better - just keep the commute low.
