Has anyone had any personal bad experiences with her? She has a great voice and I play them, but there are many horror stories of her insulting fellow Filipinos. And what about her mom? Same, I heard.

Man, Filipinos never answer questions properly. What's up with that? It's always, well... blah blah blah.. and yadda yadda, but never bother to answer the question.

Regarding Lea, it's well known that she has a bad attitude. A friend of mine was close to their family and one afternoon Lea was playing the piano by herself. When she was done, a visiting friend of the family clapped for her, and she shooed him away with her hand. Didn't even bother to look up. Even this friend of mine warned me about her and they were family friends!

Another friend took out the mom in NYC and reported that she treated the men like they were bodyguards, not guests.

Yuck.

Gossips! It is hard to tell which is the truth. You know how Filipino love to gossip! Crab mentality is very common. When you are so straight and professional some people will still misunderstand you. If you have an appointment in the Philippines at 10 am, they will come at 11 or past 12 without any word of apology. That is how unprofessional Filipinos are! I am a Filipino American and this is what I hated among Filipinos! They dont seem to respect other people with respect to time. They will always say it is traffic, they leave earlier!
When she was just starting Filipinos didnt really take her seriously especially when she was acting in the movies. She really sings good already when she was still young!

I've read some stories that she turned down to sing the National Anthem last Centennial Celebrations at Rizal Park due to conflict on her schedules. As for me, she's one of our pride and should have put the celebration the priority. She can't be around on the next centennial, can she? So, what can we do? don't buy her records! just download them on the net! piracy! hahahaha!

Heard such stories years ago. Even Kuya Germs had an issue with her before when she snubbed one of That's Entertainment Anniversary celebration. I guess she got some sort of arrogance with her after getting famous and well known when she did Miss Saigon.

She looks so kind pa naman, if that's true, it's really a shame of her coz soo many people look up to her and many parents want their children to really idolize her not just because of her voice but also because she has sweet personality.

probably she's just being tru to herself. in reality, not all filipinos are good. we're not proud of our politicians, economics, aids, expenses, pollutions and only the rich becomes rich. so maybe she's just talking about it in general. the only good thing about the philippines are the people suffering due to corruptions.
