Long airtrip and sweating....?

My wallet have been stolen and it has my alien ID card what shall i do?

i was carrying bags so i forgot my handbag in the entrance hall of my house building. then one of my kind neighbors came and return it to me but the wallet wasnt inside .. i let my husband secertay talk to the security coz they use cameras but they refused to give us information unless to talk to the police first .. my japanese is little .. would the police help me ?? .. is there any chance i can get it back !!! .. one i lost my mobile in tokyo disney land then they returned it to me after one week .. but what about wallet???!!!! :(
