I like small planes (Cessna, Beaver, etc) but I'm still not wild about big jets (7-47s and so on). I've never cared for them much.

I love it. I like the take-off the best. When the plane goes up, you get pushed into your chair, and the whole anticipation of traveling makes you get butterflies in your stomach. During the flight, especially a long 8 hour flight, it gets very uncomfortable, and you are looking forward of actually stretching out on your own bed. Because it can be quite uncomfortable on these chairs. You don't have much room, and nowhere really to put your head. And some airlines their TVs are way up or somewhere far away. I don't like taht part too much, when you try to sleep, but you can't. The landing, it's interesting, because you are relieved that this long flight is finally over, so you start looking out the window, you notice how the plane drops a little lower, and lower. Your stomach starts to tickle everytime the airplane gets closer to the ground. When you finally reach the ground, most of the time you hold on to your seat, because the plane is going so fast and the impact of wheels and the hard ground makes the plane shake a little bit from side to side.
And you finally arrive. But that's not it. You have a connect flight and your waiting time is 5 hours. What are you going to do? And you are all by yourself. It gets boring, so make sure you take someone with you, it's more fun, the whole experience.
Always love to travel by airplane.

I feel good traveling by air for short distances like somewhere from 2 to 4 hours flight time. Dhaka - Singapore / Malaysia / Karachi / Kolkata / Teheran; London - Vienna; Singapore - Kuala Lumpur.
I get impatient if the flight duration is more than 4-hours. Singapore - Brisbane, Dhaka-London, Dhaka-HK-Shanghai.
In my early childhood when in Class-I back in 1961 and 1969 I have flown with my family members by PIA Super Constellation plane (propeller with trident vertical stabilizer - Tail) from Karachi-Dhaka and I loved the chocolates and soft-drinks served in those days! Last time was in 1973 in the same route when I was repatriated and the ICRC chartered carrier was Ariana - Afghan Airlines with beautiful Airhostesses - Afghan girls! Can you think of that kind of service in these days?
Thereafter, I travelled to over 10 countries so far from Dhaka, mostly for private business trips. I liked the variation of foods in different carriers and their different sectors. However, you soon get aversion to the foods served in the commercial planes, no matter how hard they try to make foods and services good.
The most boring thing I feel is that if the fellow passenger is non-English speaking or not able to talk then you end up sitting like in a confinement!
Have a nice flying experience!!

I do like to fly and usually sit next to the window as I like to look down. I always like to see where I am going.
I know alot about aerospace and how things that are unexpected can and do happen. But commercial aircraft are the safest.
I used to fly on small aircraft like 182's for the Civil Air Patrol as a spotter for down aircraft, lost persons or vehicles, terrorists at main events, and lost hikers and skiers. It was tough as I got sick alot (had to take dramamine) looking down at the ground. And I always had a little fear in the back of my mind as I knew small aircraft are less realiable than big planes. I did lots of praying. But it was fun and I helped people. So many hours were required to retain the qualifications.
Once I thought it would be neat to be the pilot and took the flight school. I changed my mind when I saw all that it entailed and the responsibility on the pilots shoulders to do a perfect pre-check of the plane and how to watch all the dial and look for possible problems. It made me sick just thinking about it. So I guess I am not pilot material.
Going to fly, just sit back and relax you get to your destination in no time. Safer than driving a car.

Although I have a problem with heights, I feel very comfortable when it comes to flying. I actually feel very safe with this type of travel. I don't like it when the plane hits rough turbulence, that's when my tummy get queasy. If you get a real experience pilot, it's a really smooth ride.

I love to fly. I especially love sitting in the back of a rear-engined jet. I love hearing the noise of reverse thrust. Music to me ears.
