Does anyone know about this law in Vietnam that doesn't allow an unmarried couple to share the same hotel room? I'm told that my girlfriend (who's vientamese) and I have to hold two separate rooms. The hotel admin. don't care if we stay in separate rooms during the night. They say they have to do it for their records. Thanks

Hello my husband and I are planning on visiting Italy for about 12 days(feb 09-18). Our tentative plan right now is to visit Venice, Florence, Rome, and Monte Carlo(Maonaco). We plan on being in Venice for the carnival (first 2 days). Can someone please tell me what the weather is going to be like in Feb? reasonable /cheap hostels in these cities? Can we get by speaking only in English? Any tips on do’s and don’t? must see places? Any information to help us see as much as we can in these 10 days? Any idea how much gondola rides cost, i've been told they are expensive?

Thanks in advance

I'm visiting London in December and i'm looking for some original places to go and visit. stores that are selling crazy stuff, places with a strange or cool decoration , old or funky closes to buy, shows or a live music bar, original (but cheap) restaurants... all sugestions are very welcome!

I m planning a trip with my friends to Cape Town next month, we will be staying at a friends house, so accomodation is taken care off. How much money will I need for a stay period of a month to enjoy the city ( eat, go out, visit nice places, transporation ... etc).

I have limited financial resources, but would like to make the best out of my trip.

I appreciate your help !

I've never been to Berlin before (or anywhere in Germany actually), and am going with my lesser half Friday morning to Monday afternoon. Obviously I've got the old guide book all ready, but wondered what places people recommend seeing/experiencing etc.

Also, any restaurants, cafes or bars recommended would be great too.

We're both mid-30's, and this is just relaxing coupley stuff(don't give me all romantic bollocks tho). Yeah, we like a good drink, but nothing too rowdy, and don't particularly want to go clubbing as we can do that here with our mates!

Any hints and tips would be great!! :-D

My friend told me that there is a place in B.C. called the Old Grey Noggin Valley. Why would they name a place after an old mans head ?
