I m planning a trip with my friends to Cape Town next month, we will be staying at a friends house, so accomodation is taken care off. How much money will I need for a stay period of a month to enjoy the city ( eat, go out, visit nice places, transporation ... etc).

I have limited financial resources, but would like to make the best out of my trip.

I appreciate your help !

hey there

I totally agree with Fix R - club pulse is awesome (cheap to)

I'm from Cape Town
So here a couple of places you can visit

I thinkg you'll need about R2 500.00

1. Go to Ratanga Junction (theme park) cost about R100.00 mx
2. Camps Bay beach is a TOTAL DEFNITE!!! - You can play volleyball etc
3. You can go to the V&A Waterfront, on boatrides etc (cost about R250.00)
4. You could go hiking at Silvermine (NO COST)
5. You can visit our Botanical Gardens (NO COST) for a nice
picnic
6. If you like clubbing I suggest you go to Long Street - cost per club about R300.00 if your a girl then R200.00 should be enough
7. You could also try out our Wine Routes in the following areas:
*Stellenbosch
*Franschoek
*Paarl
*Durbanville (you get get all the free booze - wine tasting)

If you need more places to go to (theres allot dude)
Then email me on merc2love@yahoo.com

If you have limited financial resources you may as well take alot of money. Dont you have a credit card? That way you will be able to spend easier. In Cape Town there are a lot of things to including Ratanga Junction, Shark diving, Cable car up Table Mountain, etc-these things all require a not so small amount of money (well peanuts if you have dollars), but let's say that if you really wanna get out and around and have a great time you will need about $600,00. I'm a big spender, so I may be going a bit overboard, lol! Hope you have a great trip!

I would not carry over $300USD. You can always get money exchanged there. Use your Charge Card for everything you can use it for. It will not only keep a good record of money spent, but is alot easier than hassling with money.

Be sure to let your Charge Card company know you will be using it there, so they will not put a hold on it-----thinking it might have been stolen.
