Given the number of countries surrounding it and emptying into it, and the fact that the only water entering it has to push through the Straits of Gibraltar, surely the Med must be amongst the most polluted places on Earth.
What say you?

Yup, that's me. I've been here for almost 3-months and have been filled with FEAR from the moment I got here. I've never felt so terrorized in my life--not even after 9-11. And I haven't even been robbed or victimized in anyway (Is it because I don't go and haven't been anywhere? ........Probably). But I assume there has to be something great and (POSITIVELY UNIQUE) about this country...

So if you're South African, PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN (like that radio advert says), can you share some of your more wonderful experiences with me?

I prefer to hear from South Africans who are currently here in RSA...we all know how nostalgia can cloud the memory. After 3 months here, I swear I was eating the best food, with the best people, and had the best social life when I was back home (USA).

We are an extended family, two adults with 7 children and we wondered if anyone has any ideas for holidays next year. We don't want a butlins type and would prefer to go abroad, possibly France. I can't seem to get anywhere to help with this number of kids!!

Is 60 000 baht enough for 3 weeks?

I would like to buy a camera, a couple of tailor made suits, other clothes, acceseries... Eat decent food and enjoy the night life. Would like to stay in 3 star accomadation.

Have heard that everything is a bargain so one should take more than the expect to spend. Could you maybe brake the budget down into how much I would need for food/entertainment/accomodation and then how much for shopping?

Leaving South Africa on the 30th of November and returning on the 21st of December, so will be in thailand for approx 20 days. Bangkok for a few days and then the islands aroung Phuket??

Thanks for your help!!

We are going to be cruising in the future and I've been looking at ships on carnivals website. I must say that I already decided against at least one because I didn't like the decor. I know, petty. But since I'll be spending a week on it, I want to love the ship too! Do you have any insights on the Carnival Miracle? Best places to hang out? Food? Thanks!

I need a place to spend one night only. All I want is a clean cheap place near the station. No amenities or anything.
