Anyone got any good ideas for a holiday with an extended family of 2 parents and 7 kids?

We are an extended family, two adults with 7 children and we wondered if anyone has any ideas for holidays next year. We don't want a butlins type and would prefer to go abroad, possibly France. I can't seem to get anywhere to help with this number of kids!!

If you can get yourselves there definitely try a camping type holiday in France. Eurocamp has some great sites but they tend to be a bit pricey. We have found Fleur Holidays to be better priced but they don't do so much organised kids entertainment. If you pick the right site that number of kids should entertain each other. The campsite environment is always very safe allowing kids more freedom than at home. Fleur are very helpful to deal with on the phone and can probably accomodate 9 people although you may have to take a small tent to pitch next to your accomodation. I've done that myself. I've taken a variety of ages from 0-17(six of them in total) and they've always had a brill time! Good luck!

Goodness me! How about a camping holiday - tent or caravan - something like (I think it's called) Eurocamp. I'm guessing you want something cheap and cheerful as there's lots of you? Have a look on the internet as you might find a brilliant deal. I guess otherwise you could try and rent a cottage somewhere?

I'd say rent a gite(cottage) if you want to go abroad, We had a large villa in Menorca last year through open holidays, they've now been taken over by Villas Abroad, Best of luck

ummm.. i suggest a holiday camp place or villa.
it depends on how old ure kids are really.
theres a couple of websites below that might help.

ps. if u want lots to do i recommend chamonix-its fab in winter and summer- lots of walks and stuff in summer and skiing in winter (but that'd be expensive)

Welcome to club !! i also have that kind of family except we have 8 children and that's without counting B/F or G/F or what ever partners LOL
I have used this site to go to France with our people carrier plus one of our sons car and we found superb places....BTW I am French living in UK but have no acquaintances at all with this site. Have a great time

i don't have a huge kinfolk, all of my cousins lived far-off and we did not have close relationships. I grew up in an rather very tousled today kinfolk and one among my sisters burned a good number of bridges with nuclear kinfolk. My mum and dad somewhat communicate over with their siblings because of what my oldest sister did or perhaps now as an human being my different siblings and that i are literally not close. i wager that is purely runs in my kinfolk. i do not recognize the thanks to be close with my siblings because we are all so diverse that our adjustments in critiques and on how we favor to develop our childrens type of purely receives contained in the way of having an in intensity courting. Plus being the youngest i replaced into continually pushed out because all of them were years older than me. So i imagine it really is why i'm not making a huge deal on having an in intensity courting with my siblings, yet I save an in intensity courting with my mum and dad.
