We are going to be cruising in the future and I've been looking at ships on carnivals website. I must say that I already decided against at least one because I didn't like the decor. I know, petty. But since I'll be spending a week on it, I want to love the ship too! Do you have any insights on the Carnival Miracle? Best places to hang out? Food? Thanks!

This was the best ship I have been on. I have been on 3 or Carnival' ships. I was on Miracle in 2004; Destiny in 2005; and Spirit 2 months ago. Miracle is a Very Nice ship. The wait staff on this ship was far above the wait staff on the others in the Formal dinning room. The decor of this ship is beautiful. Loved the decor in the mad hatter's ball. The Baccaus dining room was so pretty. The lights were in the shape of grapes. The room were as any on the Carnival line. We had a balcony room- very nice. Balcony room are the way to go. But overall this cruise was my best as far as the ship itself. WE HUNG OUT IN FRANKENSTEIN'S LAB which is the dance club and Karoke in the Mad Hatter's Lounge. Check out the shows.

Heres a detailed map of the Carnival Miracle...

Nick and Nora's lounge on the sun deck looks like a nice spot.
It looks like healthier foods might be served on the lido deck right below that...thats where the spa is. The Riviera, Promenade and Atlantic decks (bottom three) are full of shows, clubs, restaraunts and dining rooms. There is a big theatre in the front of this section, too.

Well it's big and it should float till you get to port and you may get a virus that might kill you while you are out to sea
