I am taking my wife for her birthday in January, what is there to do, something romantic, given the cold weather... any shows??? or something indoor entertainment? we are in our mid-20's

I am going to Germany in February and I need to know what I should bring to use for money. I was going to bring credit cards but i am reading that they have a bad exchange rate. I was going to take traveler checks, but I can't find to much information on them, and if cash is the best way to go, then should I exchange it here in the U.S. or when we get there to Germany? IM SO CONFUSED! Help!

I'm planning on taking a flight, but I don't know how early I should arrive. I need to make sure I don't miss my flight, so how early should I arrive to allow security and stuff? I'm not taking any luggage, but on the way back I am. How long should I give it? I mean, I have to travel 47 miles somewhere, then back, which I estimate is about 2 hours. My flight gets there at 11:05, and my other flight leaves at 1:20, if I choose that one. Will I have enough time? Should I take a different flight?
