Since she was suppose to board a flight back home to Alabama hours before she went missing:

Has anyone checked whether she could have been tricked to take a flight to Amsterdam and sold into the sex slave trade?

That would cover alot of gambling debts, and the market is there.

This might different than her actual fate, but it seems likely enough it should be investigated.

I'm starting to plan a wedding there for late May, early June. Where are great places to stay? Where would you not stay again and why? What fun things did you do there?
I've never been to Aruba so planning a wedding there will be interesting!!

I know of the Guadirikiri and Fontein Caves but I am interested in caves that may have been closed to the public because they were too dangerous. Specifically any caves that may have a deep drop off and an uneven almost spiked floor. I don't plan on venturing to these places, I just want to know for personal information. Serious answers and good grammar help in awarding a best answer. Thanks.

I'm not surprised. Van Der Sloot looks like an arrogant spoiled kid and he probably did kill her. He probably thought he was gonna get away with it.

I'm supposed to be going back to Aruba the first week in September (I can't get enough of the place). Will the hurricane pass by then? I've been told that Aruba doesn't get the hurricanes, but we have to go over Jamaica, Haiti, DR, etc. to get there!

I am going to Aruba in the third week of September 2007 and a couple friends and I rented a villa in the Noord section of Aruba. I'm told it is a .5 mile walk to the beach....can anyone give me some details about this section of Aruba? This is our first trip to Aruba and we are all single males in our 30's.

i'm going to aruba in july. i'm from the dominican republic and have been to almost every other caribbean island, and i hate visiting other countries like a "tourist".
i know it's not carnival time, so is aruba worth travelling to? is there anything else to do besides going to the beach everyday?
Also, are the nightclubs open every night?-not the hotel nightclubs filled with tourists, the dancehall clubs that all of the arubians go to

Hello my husband and I are planning a trip to Aruba this August. We picked it because it is outside the hurricane belt in the ABC islands. I do not know much about Aruba but have booked two hotels and am wondering which is the best fit for us. We like upscale and mellow hotels. We are extensive travelers who have stayed at some of the finest hotels, but we also love hotels with local charm. We love Small Inns and B&B's as well at the Ritz. The first hotel I booked is the Westin Aruba. We are platinum members of Starwood hotels, so we often get upgraded and treated well at their properties. But I am worried this place is too spring break an won’t have the peace and quiet we are looking for. But it does look nice. I also booked the Golden Tulip Resort Bucuti -Tara Suites & Spa. This is a smaller European style boutique hotel with great reviews on trip advisor. The westin is on Palm beach and the Bucuti is on Eagle beach. Any advice on which to pick would be great. Thanks!
