What Stella said...
FYI, Eagle Beach is less crowded than Palm Beach. It's just that there are more high rise hotels on Palm Beach.
If you love the local hang out stuff make sure you take a day trip down to Baby's beach, stay for lunch and an ice cold Polar Beer at Coco Beach Grill with your toes in the sand!
For a wonderfully romantic dinner on the beach watching the sunset, go to The Flying Fishbone in Savanetta. Book early though they have limited seating and it can be hard to get reservations.
You're gonna love it!
P.S. don't forget to take your Deet with you where ever you go on the island...getting caught at dusk being eaten up by rouge mosquitos can be rough, especially for those like me-I attract them.

I love boutique type hotels. I would go with Golden Tulip Resort Bucuti. You can always stay at a Westin.
The Golden Tulip is "on one of the top Beaches" in the Caribbean, as rated by Dream Beaches of the world.
It looks like a great place to relax with peace and quiet.
The candid travelers photos are great.
Try it and enjoy!

I am going to Aruba next month and I personally love staying at the Renaissance Marina (no kids and the private island is awesome). This will be our 4th time there and we love staying downtown close to all the night life and restaurants. To answer your question personally I would stay at Palm Beach. Make sure you go the Flying Fishbone for dinner it is incredible.

My husband and I are planning a trip, too.
Check out this video:

The Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino is where we were planning on going after looking at a lot of different hotels. But your choices sound lovely, too.
Have fun!!!

I do recommend the Marriott in Aruba; it’s a great hotel. Its at the end of the hotel strip and so you don 't get traffic with people going from one hotel to another. It has a small casino and a great beach. We loved it

It gets its share of 'Canes ! But I would plead with you to avoid it like the plague until they produce the body of that poor young girl from Alabama murdered by their citizens and until these killers are made to pay! I would send their consulate a message saying why (I'm) boycotting their Island.
I realize some people dont care, but this country is getting away with hiding murderers and I find that Unconsionable!!!
I hope you and others will spend your money in a better place.

I suggest you do your research online at the usual travel sites, but also check out a "regular" travel agent. I found that all of the travel sites, plus the Radisson's website, all had the same price. However, I went to Liberty Travel and their rate was much, much lower - I saved over $800, which was pretty sweet.
