We were also thinking about Acapulco. However, it'll be the rainy season when we go. Anyone know if its still worth going? Any ideas for other destinations in the Carribean or general beach type places?

I like to possibly get a vacation homeor condo on the beach,or if there is a cool hotels where its nice and relaxing. I plan on going eiather to Aruba or Kauai, have not decided.
I hear that the east side of Aruba is more relaxing, where as the west side of the island is more metropolitan. Any thoughts? advice?

We went last June and loved it, it wasn't very crowded at all. We were able to find long stretches of Eagle Beach that we could have to ourselves. We're thinking about going this December/January and are curious how much more busy the Island is in the high season.

If you've ever been to Aruba, as you are going from the lighthouse twoards the highrise hotels, a little before the marriott there will be a shipwreck all the way out of the ocean called the antilla. A little up from there is another shipwreck about 20-30 feet off shore. It is in shallow water and almost all of the boat is sticking out. it's not split in half or tilted to its side or anything its normal. The whole boat is rusted and i'd say the boat is about 30 feet long. Does anyone know the name of it and has anyone gone snorkling around it? if so how deep is the water around there and what type of sea life is around there?

I have a choice of Riviera Maya or Aruba for vacation. I've been to Riviera Maya a few times and love it. I've never been to Aruba. My questions are:
1. Has anyone been to both and how do they compare?
2. What is a good place to stay? (I prefer tropical ambiance but not a stuffy "tea party" lol)
3. Are there any all-inclusives in Aruba?
4. How is the snorkeling (and where is it?)
5. How is the water off the beaches (aqua? is there snorkeling off beaches?)
6. What is there to do besides the beach?

Thanks for any help you can give!

My fiance and I are getting married in May of 2008 and I think I am leaning towards Aruba for a honeymoon. The weather and location seem perfect and it seems to be one of the most affordable. Any suggestions? If you've had bad experiences with a certain resort or anything in Aruba please let me know that too. Thanks so much!
