Aruba is a sunny climate, making it a year-round paradise. The average temperature is 82º, with cool and refreshing trade winds. Aruba is outside the hurricane belt, so rainfall is very moderate, and tropical storms and hurricanes are rare. The wind does blow in Aruba most of the time. It is a light breeze that you will appreciate while out sun bathing or walking around. If you like to sun bathe and swim please take sun screen. The sun in Aruba is very strong. Even if you tan in a tanning bed or have a great tan when you get there. We have been to Aruba 5 times and I tan most of the year. We were in the water 25 minutes the first day and I was red by night fall. You don't even know you are burning until it is too late. This is where the light breeze comes in you are not hot and you don't realize how hot you really are. Please take sun screen you will be glad you did. I hope you have a wonder trip to Aruba is a beautiful island and I have never had a bad or scary experience while in Aruba.

Aruba is different than most people expect. It's nicely landscaped with lots of palm trees/tropical plants around the hotels, but the rest of the island is a bit like Arizona, full of sand, rock, and cactus. It's pretty flat too. The temp stays around mid-80s with high humidity and there's a constant breeze. If staying there I've heard from several people that the Hyatt is the nicest place to stay. I stayed at the Radisson, which was alright, but nothing spectacular (except for the food, which I thought was great). The beaches are nice, but a bit crowded on the side where the hotels are. However, if you're into watersports, the snorkeling and diving are fantastic. I went on a jeep tour with DePalm Tours, which I thoroughly enjoyed because it gives you an opportunity to see a lot of the island. I also took a sunset catamaran cruise with RedSail Sports which was also enjoyable. We had an open bar, snacks, and a steel drum player onboard. There are a lot of really good restaurants there and shopping (like GAP, Tommy Hilfiger, etc). But, if you're thinking 'typical tropical island' you're in for a bit of a surprise. Also beware that downtown can get pretty crazy if there's a cruise ship in port.

Aruba would not be my first choice but if you are going there I would suggest the Marriott Stellaris simply because it is the northern most hotel and only has a neighboring hotel on its one side and its another Marriott. The beaches are pretty crowded but just go a little north (wearing shoes because its rough on your feet) and you can choose a private spot to access the beach/ocean. The hotel earlier this year was not in top shape and needs a little renovation on the exterior but all the linens were fresh and clean which I like because you see those TV shows about dirty sheets and who knows what on them (well actually we know whats still on them but I just don't want to think about it).
Aruba is a party island with lots of casinos and bars. Have a great wedding.

Ok, first of all, to the people who talk about Natalie.. It is a very unfortunate and sad situation that that happend. However, Aruba is one of the SAFEST Islands you can ever visit. That incedent is probably the only incedent that Aruba has a bad wrap for. There are many of other places that are much worse to visit.
I've been to Aruba twice and it's a beautiful, clean and happy Island.
It is unfortunate that the Island gets a bad name for one tragedy.
Anyway.. to answer the question,
Aruba is a very nice place to have a wedding, I have seen two weddings there and they were beautiful, the weather is always nice, and even if it does rain, it's very brief. Aruba has the second cleanest water in the world!
there are many of things to do there.
Jeep safari's if your into offroading adventure,s there are also dunebuggy and atv/four wheeling tour/adventures.. there is snorkeling, sea dooing, you can go on a submarine tour deep into the water to see many of beautiful water life, there is lots of attractions, and it's a very touristy place. The main languages there are papiamento, and spanish, but most of them can understand english.
I will email you with more info, but I hope this helps

My family and I love Aruba!!! The best hotel is the Hyatt. It may be a bit expensive, especially for your guests but well worth it. Most hotels are along the Palm beach strip. So other than the Hyatt, you have the Occidental and Radisson as top picks. We also spent a week at the Holiday Inn. It's more family friendly and a bit cheaper than others.
You can snorkel, swim, ride across the island, do some horseback riding, and shop duty free trust me on this). Other than that you can just sit back and enjoy the water. We've been there more than three times and recommend it to everyone!

Aruba is nice. We stayed at the Bucuti Beach Hotel. Very nice and not as big as most of the other hotels plus it lays at the most gorgeous beach.
The only downside about Aruba was the WIND! It's always windy there. I hated it. The wind I mean, not the island.
If this was my wedding I would choose a diiferent more romantic island like St.Lucia (very exotic) or Turks & Caicos (Grace Beach...the most beautiful beach on earth)

Aruba SOUNDS nice.. But honestly out of all the islands I've been to (been to 5).. Aruba was my least favorite one. I actually liked Curacao better (which is Arubas neighbor).. If you plan on getting married there.. I would go to St. Lucia or St. Thomas. Arubas beaches aren't THAT great, and the island itself was kind of dirty. Where ever you go, I'm sure you will love it tho!
