I need a place and i can't decide.

We will be in Germany for 2 years and I am completely addicted to these shows. Is there any way to get American TV through Sattelite or cable? So far i've had no luck with asking American Cable/Internet Companies and Slingbox only works with Computers so I couldn't tape the shows in the middle of the night in Germany (time change). I'd really appreciate some help.

This is important to me since I don't speak any German so please only answer if you have a possible solution. Thanks.

taught me two things how precious life is and each day is so important. I was planning to see the World Trade Center this weekend. How are we as people safe if we can't bring a coffee on an early flight? Why does our freedom and beliefs have to have the most awful effects on certain people. Pull the troops out, how can we change or help people (not the majority) if they dont want the help. It makes me think twice about having children.Where do you stand?

oh my God!!!! Did u guys watch Singapore Idols last nite? I think i m jus gonna submit something nasty to the Forum page in the Straits Times. Damn it!! They should do something, this is getting ridiculous. How can Rahimah with that powerful voice be booted while some(we all noe who) still go on to the next round? Ahhh people i am just soooo pissed and wonder wats wrong with Singaporeans? How do they judge quality? Really...somebody explain to me!!!!

Some friends invited me to visit canada for one month and paid all my trip. They sent me a letter of invitation and all I needed to provide my passport and visa, but te canadiaan consulate refused it because I have no ties in Brazil to proove that I will come back! I am unemployed and not studying right now.

I don't ever wanna drive I have but.....can't!! I can't make turns I'm just an awful driver I have driven before and had tons & tons of practice but can't ever to get it right!!! I just wasn't born to drive a dang car I'm scared of it but not too scared. Am I the only one like this?

I really like Canada, it's such a beautiful place full of opulence. I'm also in love with a French-Canadian. I would love to know more about French-Canadians, traditions, common expressions and things that they do and say for fun. I know they speak French and English, we speak French and English in my country too. Where I come from, we are multicultural and have different varieties of dishes; French, Aisn, African, European... Any advice or opinions just any info would be great!

I know it is recommended to get them, but not required. If I am in the Philippines visiting for just 10 days, should I be safe and get Hepatitus A and Typhoid shots, or is it very unlikely I will catch these on my stay if I stick to drinking bottled water? Basically, what are the odds of me getting either one without having immunizations?

I would like a beach campground were you can set up your tent on the sand area. The camp ground also needs to allow camp fires. And whould realy be great is if it were in Long Beach area Up to one hour away is fine.

My boyfriend and I are planning a little mini get-away in October, we are going to be there for Sunday and Monday and we are driving back on Tuesday.........what would you recommend....any must see shows or clubs to go to? Hello there,
As an European, I am curious how do you find some myths that most europeans think about the USA people...for example "the Americans are naive", "the Americans are hard working"...so here I divided the good and bad things that most europeans associate with USA:

Good things:
-USA is the richest country in the world and middle and rich people live great.
-People work hard and are punctual.
-They have sense of humour.
-Girls are nice.
-Cool cities such as LA,Miami,New York
-Funny president aka Bush :)
-Nice pronounciation of the English language
-Optimistic way of thinking.

So here are the "bad" things:
-People are naive.
-A lot of fat men and women.
-A lot of serial killers hehe.
-Crime is more than even Columbia :)
-A lot different races...Chinese...Mexicans
-People are too conservative and too religious
-They dont care enough for how they look.
-Very "tight minded"..for example they dont know where is Australia?

We've been planning with great excitement our tript to Egypt in Nov/Dec. Just when we're ready to book tickets, people have begun asking us if were sure that it was safe now with the war in the middle-east! We're not extremely worried about being targeted as such for hate crimes, but does the war make any part of Egypt potentially unsafe? How about the Sinai peninsula?
