The November 19, 2007, issue of PR Week (www.prweek.com) reports that CAIR (The Council on American-Islamic Relations) has created a media guide for journalists intended to “disabuse journalists of misinformation about the religion.”

What kind of “misinformation”? That the Quran teaches violence and that Islam does not respect women’s rights are two of the notable examples of “misinformation” the guide wants to address.

Why is CAIR putting money and effort into releasing a media guide entitled American Muslims: A Journalist’s Guide to Understanding Islam and Muslims?

Clearly, CAIR is concerned.

You see, up until the past few years very little accurate information was readily available to the public about what the Quran and the Hadith really say and what the life of Muhammed was really like. Colleges and universities that had Middle Eastern studies departments typically taught a sanitized, whitewashed version of Islam that ignored, rationalized or hid the truth about doctrinal and historical Islam.

Today, however, organizations like ACT for America, American Congress for Truth, and many others, are providing the American public with a clear understanding of the violence, bigotry, hatred and subjugation that is at the heart of doctrinal and historic Islam. Americans are beginning to understand that Islam is as much a political ideology of force and conquest as it is a religious belief.

CAIR will succeed in its efforts to repackage Islam only if Americans fail to look past CAIR’s public relations efforts. CAIR will fail if Americans (and American journalists) simply do a little research for themselves.

If it’s “misinformation” to assert that the Quran, the Hadith, and the words of Muhammed advocate violence and the subjugation of “infidels,” how does one explain the following?

“Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war." Qur’an:9:5

"Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission." Qur’an:9:29

"Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah." Qur’an:8:39

"So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)." Qur’an:8:39

"He said, ‘Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.'” Ishaq:324

"Fight the unbelievers around you, and let them find harshness in you." Qur’an:9:123

These are but a handful of the hundreds of passages that exhort Muslims to kill and conquer infidels in the name of Allah. These are not words that have been fabricated by those intent on misrepresenting Islam and Muslims. Among the major religions of the world, Islam stands alone in its call to conquer “unbelievers” with the objective to forcefully convert or subjugate the entire world. Islam stands alone as a religion that commands forced conversion, submission or death in the name of its god.

If someone is twenty five, has never had a job, has never gone to college, has never dated and shows no signs of wanting to work or anything is it just lazy? Or does it point to something more serious, like depression or mental illness? I just don't understand why anyone would live like this, she refuses to help out her parents ( she doesn't like them) and won't even clean the house while they are at work. So I think, why not get a job and move out, right?

I am 25 and I consider myself a very attractive female. But the only guys who seem to want me are the unattractive guys. And when I do find someone I like, he doesn't stay around long. I keep thinking is it me, but my friends say Im just to picky and I need to lower my standards. I can't help that I like physical fit men, who are educated and who don't have kids. I am starting to feel as if I going to be single forever. And I am so tired of men asking why is a beautiful woman like me single.

Last week, at universities around America, the conservative activist David Horowitz organized "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week." The week featured a guest speaker, the showing of the documentary, "Obsession," about radical Islam, and related activities.

I just noticed on TV that David Horowitz performed the noble act of promoting Islamo-Fascist awareness week (that could help to save us all and bring about world peace), and Jim Gilchrist is involved in the Minuteman project (that could also help to save us all).

These are decent individuals truly committed to worthwhile, noble causes and are not like Mr. Gore, who has done nothing except to spread lies about "inventing the Internet," instigate recounts in Democrat-infested counties and shout in essence that "the sky is falling" (with his global warming fibs that are now being debunked by prominent scientists) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2007/10/11/scigore111.xml

I respectfully submit that Mr. Gore is doing more harm than good, and certainly should not be honored for the harm he's causing.

I'm thinking about inventing a new world peace prize and allowing the liberals to have their own, for their sicko champions of everything that's sick and rotten. What do you think I could name the new peace prize?

Several weeks ago, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was applauded during his speech at Columbia University because 'all views should be heard'. All views except any resembling conservative views, that is. David Horowitz attempted to give a speech this weekend during Islamo-fascism week at Emory University, but was unable to after students relentlessly chanted 'racist, sexist, David Horowitz go away!'.

I guess it is OK for someone who authorizes the killing of a retarded teenage girl for "seducing" a Muslim male, but not OK for someone who wants to point out the horrors of that and many such atrocities.

Is the Liberal agenda totally taking over our institutions of higher learning? I think, yes..and have been for quite awhile.

What ever happened to Free Speech?

Oct 25, 2007
Conservative commentator David Horowitz was forced to cut short his speech on "Islamo-Fascism" at Emory University in the face of repeated interruptions, heckling and catcalls from some audience members in a packed lecture room in White Hall on Wednesday.

When the disruptions peaked about 20 minutes into Horowitz's speech, Senior Vice Provost for Community and Diversity Ozzie Harris stood up at the back of the room and cautioned protestors to sit or risk being forcibly removed. Immediately, one man shouted: "Everyone stand up! They can't take all of us!"

To clarify my question above, Bush innocently says the reason for there being such wide disproportional distribution of wealth in the U.S. is because of "skills gaps." Without turning this into a classist issue, what skills is Bush referring to? Skills like: being born into priviledge? selfishness? the ability to lobby and get tax breaks? focusing on one's vested interests instead of the safety of the environment? supporting war to secure a region's oil? Or, are the skills Bush refers to as in a state of "gap" simply the same thing as the good old fashioned American job--as if the only thing we need to do is teach the lower 50% of the population the skills to get a job and that will balance the scale?

I wouldn't not vote for an LDS member just because they don't agree with me; I have no problem voting for someone who is Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist, and even Muslim (as long as they aren't extreme). I just can't vote for a person who believes such goofy stuff. If the book of Mormon says that the descendants of Cain and Ham were cursed to be black, why would I vote for someone who believes that? Why would anyone believe that all of the biblical stories took place in the Americas when that goes against the research of historians and anthropologists? How can someone believe that the real Israelites are actually the Native Americans? The whole man becoming gods thing and starting their own planets just sounds like 19th century Scientology. The only reason why the LDS abandoned polygamy was so that Utah could become a state and they excluded blacks from priesthood until 1978, conveniently after the Civil Rights Movement because of a "revelation from God".

lets be open minded here. i am trying to understand how liberals think. i have been into politics for a while. and im now seeing some things in liberal ideology. everyday it seems more and more like a mental illness. this idea was first brought on by Michael Savage, who i will say is borderline insane. but he does have me thinking, is liberalism a mental illness? if liberals were running things, we would have illegals in the country that would drain our tax payer dollars and social programs, have programs into place that the country can't afford(universal healthcare), and we would pull out of Iraq and let thousands of people get slaughtered and leave a safe haven for terrorism. can anyone shed some light on this? it might be because im conservative that i feel this way, but im trying to see how liberals think. right now im considering liberalsim being a mental illness.

I have heard many atheists say that there is no proof of God. Then they say that there is no way to disprove that there is a God. How then can a person say with absolute certainty the there is no God? How can any assertion be logically sound without proof to back it up, especially from folks who say they require proof yet then admit they have no proof? Is not the universe itself proof enough? In what other context do you assume that there is an effect without cause?

Norman Podhoretz claims, "David Horowitz is hated by the Left because he is not only an apostate but has been even more relentless and aggressive in attacking his former political allies than some of us who preceded him in what I once called ‘breaking ranks’ with that world. He has also taken the polemical and organizational techniques he learned in his days on the left, and figured out how to use them against the Left, whose vulnerabilities he knows in his bones"

Feminist icon Camille Paglia has said of David Horowitz: “I respect the astute and rigorously unsentimental David Horowitz as one of America’s most original and courageous political analysts. . . . As a scholar who regularly surveys archival material, I think that, a century from now, cultural historians will find David Horowitz’s spiritual and political odyssey paradigmatic for our time.”

Among Horowitz’s more recent books are: Radical Son (1996), a memoir tracing his odyssey from “red-diaper baby” to conservative activist that George Gilder described as “the first great autobiography of his generation”

In this revealing work, David Horowitz explores the hellish marriage between IslamoFascists and the highly networked American Left. These ideologues who once sided with the USSR and other repressive communist regimes have now wholeheartedly embraced radical Islam.

The agenda emanates from the extreme left but the influence extends far beyond, also encompassing liberal discourse and the mass media. It seems that this radical agenda has now succeeded in capturing the heart and soul of the Democratic Party.

Unholy Alliance exposes and dissects the Left in fine detail, seeking for answers to why it has made an alliance with a reactionary and oppressive religious ideology. Also why it tried to undermine the War on Terror by opposing the liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq. The fracture of the consensus in American politics is another topic discussed here.

It shows how the Left declared war on the War on Terror and started organising demonstrations long before any action was taken, becoming the vanguard for Saddam and the Jihad terrorists.

Unholy Alliance demonstrates convincingly that the American Left today is far more dangerous than loony
