okay so im 19, still a virgin, and i have high standards for guys, and as a result im sexually frustrated and im tired of holding out! i honestly dont see sex as a big deal, but i do want my first time to be with someone i really truly care about and who i know feels the same about me, but im so frustrated and i really just want to do it already! so should i just be more realistic and date guys who dont completely fit my standards?

>my standards are: not cocky/conceided, good sense of humor, intelligent, dresses well(but not better than me), someone with charm and wit, ambition in life, cares/has interests about things other than drugs and parties.

i usually get the cocky guys with no ambition in life and care mostly about where theyre partying tonight.

My answer? Yes. Resistance to any other culture, ideas, or open-mindedness, to me, is a mental disorder. Face it, Conservatism is not the mainstream ideology in America nd they need to face reality. They like to shove their religion, so-called Morals (they practice something called "selective morality), and bogus family values down everyone's throats.

You have freedom of speech, but you don't deserve special rights, and you don't have the freedom to force your belief system down our throats. You have the right to your religion, the right to express you opinion, you have the right to do whatever you want, but you dont have the right to dictate people on how to live their life, and you don't have the right to force others to follow your brand of morality (orwhatever the hell you call it).

I think that I am pretty but I have a larger forehead and really not that much confidence. Boys never want to date me. I think that it is because of my forehead. I was so used to getting joked on throughout my life about my forehead that I just kind of have a moody attitude. I don't know if that plays a factor or not. So my friend tells me that I need to lower my standards and try to talk to boys that aren't so attractive and like me but I don't like them instead of going for the ones that I like but don't like me. But i feel as if that will mean that I have no self esteem and settle for anybody , For me I sort of go for looks. I always want the nice looking bot with a nice body build nice smile and all. My friend tells me that my standards are too high? Do you all agree? What should I do to be more open to people
(boys in particular) and not turn them off?

As more and more details mount on the life and warped mind of Cho Seung-Wi, we are beginning to see that although the signs were evident and for whatever reason society ignored them.
Seung-Wi had been psychologically examined in 2005, and they found him to be disturbed and a "threat to himself and others". Yet, where were these details when they were really needed? Why didn't the university know about them? Why didn't they come up during his background check when purchasing guns? I think we all know the reason--political correctness. In our own Liberally bent society we protect the dangerous, the mentally ill misfit, above the everyday citizen.
How many more Seung-Wi's are there out there, with records hidden by a bloated bureaucracy with kind intent toward those who would attack society? Have we allowed a virus of apathy breed in our hearts and minds?
They say that a great society dies not necessarily from a stronger threat, but rather by it's own apathy.

I try to read a wide variety of political viewpoints, but one interesting thing that has caught my attention lately is the idea that 'liberalism is a mental illness' coming from the extreme right. I have seen it on blogs (on two right-wing psychologists blogs) on right-wing radio and from right-wingers themselves.

What do you think of this phrase and it's implications, taking into account the political atmosphere, the large scope of generally normal people who are being treated in the mental health system, the mistreatment of the mentally ill and it's stigma and the actual feasibility of one political faction abusing the psychiatric system to gain power over the opposing faction? Does this mud-slinging have more wieght to it when it's mouthed by individuals in the psychiatric proffession? Are there enough protections in place for the rights of individuals to prevent the psychiatric system from being abused politically on a large scale?

I mean, we've scientifically proven that chemical imbalance causes a lot of mental discord including bi-polar disorder, depression, and the anxiety and drama of youth. I just thought that our society was more advanced than that (intillectually) than to blame a real physiological disorder on "Demons" (i.e. in the Christian sense of invisible devils that do bad stuff to you???)

So for those who believe in possession and "Demons", why do you think it's "Demons" and not a chemical/hormonal imbalance?

"Some see Mohammed's life itself offering his followers graphic examples of his intolerance toward dissent, slight, or rebuke. Well-known and repeated stories of fact or lore discourage any interest in voicing dissent.

"There is the story of the murder of the poetess Asma bint Marwan, who paid with her life when she spoke out against Mohammed for having a man named Abu Afak murdered. In his displeasure toward her, Muhammed asked his followers to murder her as well. She was killed by a sword thrust to her abdomen while suckling her baby..."

Does this sound to you like the founder of a religion of peace or a complete contempt for human life and moral values?

Would you say that Mohammed, like today's terrorists, is not a true Muslim because the Koran forbids murder?

Why is it that when people talk about how the Egyptians were black, it is labeled as Afrocentric garbage?

Europeans ignore all of the evidence of this, while clinging to propaganda during the slave-trade era and there after. Yet they ignore all of the pre-arab invasion evidence/testimonies, all of which define the Egyptians as Black-Africans.

Afrocentric huh? what about the testimony of respected white historians, anthropologist, etc. Such as:
Gerald Massey
Sir Francis Burton
R.T. Prittchett
Count Constatin de Volney
Herodotus ("father of history")
Cornelius Tacitus
George Rawlinson

to name a FEW of the whites, since black sources are unacceptable to most whites or deemed "Afrocentric"

They rely on unsubstantiated racist propaganda written during the slave-era, which Diop proved wrong without a doubt at UNESCO conf. 1974, but even with no evidence, they cling to racist propaganda.

4 those who say look at Egypt now. Look at America now, does the conquerors reflect the natives?

chemical weapons are part of that family as well. i just find it surprising that when i talk to people about the war in Iraq the first thing they say is well he didn't have any WMD'S. when in fact he did he was trying to get his scud operation back in order. and our troops have found mass stock piles of chemical weapons over there. so why aren't people being taught that wmd is not just a nuke ?
