Why is it that when people talk about how the Egyptians were black, it is labeled as Afrocentric garbage?
Europeans ignore all of the evidence of this, while clinging to propaganda during the slave-trade era and there after. Yet they ignore all of the pre-arab invasion evidence/testimonies, all of which define the Egyptians as Black-Africans.
Afrocentric huh? what about the testimony of respected white historians, anthropologist, etc. Such as:
Gerald Massey
Sir Francis Burton
R.T. Prittchett
Count Constatin de Volney
Herodotus ("father of history")
Cornelius Tacitus
George Rawlinson
to name a FEW of the whites, since black sources are unacceptable to most whites or deemed "Afrocentric"
They rely on unsubstantiated racist propaganda written during the slave-era, which Diop proved wrong without a doubt at UNESCO conf. 1974, but even with no evidence, they cling to racist propaganda.
4 those who say look at Egypt now. Look at America now, does the conquerors reflect the natives?

This is not about whether or not it is important racially. It is about truth and facts. You wouldn't accept a person portraying George Washington as a black man and teaching it as truth. Show the same respect to the Egyptians. It is racist to portray them erroneously. They portrayed themselves in their artifacts. Stop changing their appearance to support racist lies. Their is tons of definite proof in genetics, anthropology, etc. People just turn a blind eye to remain in their prejudices.

This is funny, there were brown-skinned Africans, but not black, although most of them were dark brown or very dark. I'm brown skinned. So i guess that disqualifies me from being African-American. First, they were white, then they were dark-skinned caucasians and when both of those are proven wrong, they become "mixed." Look it up
Before the Greeks came in 400 BC, they were nothing there but Africans. No whites, no Arabs. They slave-era scholars couldn't accept it and their children are still unable to accept the truth.
Anthropologist, Constatin de Volney said it best:
"What a subject for meditation, just think that the race of black men today our slaves and the object of our scorn, is the very race to which we owe our arts, science and even the use of our speech."
This is unbearable to many. That's why they accept rubbish with no evidence at all. They call me racist b/c they're anti-truth. Even today, blacks are mistaken as natives, but light people are called foreigner

People are getting confused over the question. I've already learned whether or not they were black. I'm asking, why is it labeled Afrocentric, when there are a lot of respected white historians, athropologists, etc. who say the same thing, even before slaves were set free here? They were saying Egyptians are black.
It is not a concoction of the African-American mind. It is fully supported by facts. While those who disagree offer nothing but opinions based on Egypt today or during occupation. So why do you suppose it's labeled Afrocentric?

Some days ago I answered a similar question... and I said this:
Personally I think that they were blacks because Egypt is in Africa and in that time the world was not globalized like today where everything is mixed. Kemet was the name that ancient egyptians gave to their country, and it means "The black land", and just look at their faces, they look like black people and yeah some people are going to say "but they painted themselves as brown, yellow and not as black" but hey hello?? there is an egyptian god Osiris, he is depicted with GREEN skin and what? are they going to say that ancient egyptians were not, black, not white but GREEN????????. So when I watch a movie or a documentary representing ancient Egyptians like white, blonde, blue eyed people, I just can say "oh come on give me something real not that ****" so if there is people thinking that ancient egyptians could be white then why not represent Aztecs, Mayas, etc like white, blue eyed people too?? it makes not sense.
AND people remember this was a question about why some people think that ancient egyptians were black, not a war of races, in the end ancient Egyptians were GREAT no matter the color or even the world they came from (for those who believes that they were aliens..... what I think its a silly theory but I respect this.... even when I do not agree with them)

THIRD INTERMEDIATE PERIOD 1070-712BC
The Double Uraeus The 25thDynasty (Nubia/Theban area)
The Egyptian politically fragmented during this period; rival dynasties overlapped)
Invaders from the north and the east wrested Egypt's Palestinian empire from the New Kingdom, while at home the power and prestige of the throne dwindled, the bureaucracy seethes with corruption, and gangs of soldiers terrorized the populace. Eventually Egypt by talking over the Priesthood of Amen, while a dynasty of merchant monarchs took control of the delta. Next, dynasties of Libyan descent ruled all of Egypt until they were in turn usurped by The armies of Nubia, a nation to the south. Kings of the new dynasty, the 25th, wore a dual uraeus on their crowns(double Snakes) which symbolized the combined rule of Egypt and Nubia................... So Your Answer Is Yes.

I can see why you would feel this way. With all the negative names labeled on our recent (enslaved) ancestors and past targeting perceptions, past ancient invasions (with ancient arab forces) as well as later European forces, it would be dificult for anyone to look past it without anger. I think there were intermixes between themselves and most of all (including) Africans, not other (un)known humans. Egyptians look characteristically like all (most) races... it always seems. Maybe the Egyptians were birthing all humans (the races found all around the world; eveery single one on earth) ... just kidding. But that could be some new theory. Black G out.

Puddin', some Egyptians were *******, some were "Mediterranean" or Semitic-looking, some (the Ptolemies) were blond, blue-eyed Europeans ... Greek, actually.
See, the wonderful thing about ancient Egypt is that it didn't really matter what color your skin was. Bottom line, to be "Egyptian" in the time of the Phaorohs was a cultural and linguistic and religious thing, and had virtually nothing to do with race.
By the way, most of the sources you cite above regarded anything other than lillywhite as "black." Those Romans, Brits and Eurotrash authors all regarded the Persians as black, and the Arabs, and the Indians, and the Afghanis, as well as the Sub-Saharan Africans.
So climb off that racist pony because it is galloping up a box canyon of stupid.

Ive heard this argument before from scholars about exactly what skin colour the Ancient Egyptians were... And its a crazy question.
In the history of Ancient Egypt, the lands of Egypt were settled, conquered/re-conquered by a number of both different races and cultures - from the Persians, Phonecians, to the Macedonians, the Greeks, the Romans etc etc.
I am wondering how many people are also taking into account the contact that Ancient Egypt also had with neighbouring city states and the level of contact / mixed inter-racial relationships existed.
Speculation is one thing....definite proof is another.

This can only be an issue to someone who is truly prejudiced whether you're black or white or whatever. Stop making race an issue in everything. Get past it. Deal with your own issues first.

The Egyptians weren't black skinned. They also weren't white. They had a medium brown/reddish-brown colour. This is clearly portrayed in all the pictures they drew of themselves.
