For those blasting General Petraeus, why don't you research the man's accomplishments and credibility. He has been referred to as the one who wrote the book on counter-insurgency operations. His work in Anbar province was a miracle (but things did deteriorate slightly when he moved on to different things) and he has also offered stark news to the public. He is not a White House mouth piece. If he was, the media and Congress would have run him out of his position long ago.
As much as I detest liberalism and its penchant for acidic political mudslinging, I cannot believe that they intentionally aid and abet our enemies. What they do, however, is prolong conflicts by investing time and energy in demanding diplomatic negotiations (when our enemies like Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Abdullah Azzam, Mahmoud Ahmadinijad, and Kim Jong-Il have stated for public record that they have no interest in talking with us), dilluting the efficiency of our armed forces by conducting witch hunts in relation to anything that even smells like a human rights infraction (does anyone even understand what true war involves?), playing political games with the Executive branch and the Pentagon just to set the stage for 2008 (something I find revolting!) and bad mouthing this country to our friends (a la John Kerry in Davos calling the US a pariah upon the world) and our enemies (Sean Penn warmly embracing Hugo Chavez and endorsing a country that is spiraling into a tyranny).
David Horowitz wrote a brillant book about Liberals and their "support" of our enemies. Entitled "Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left", Horowitz sites numerous instances of alleged aid and abetment. Like I said earlier, I do not believe that good hearted Liberals are intentionally helping our adversaries, but they may (through blinding political and ideological hatred) be unintentionally aligning themselves with our foes.

What good news? The Iraqi army isn't ready to fend for themselves? If I remember Desert Storm, the media touted the fact that the Iraqi army was one of the best trained & best equipped army on the planet. Now, after 3 years, they don't know yet how to crawl. Who is lying to who? I think the Arabs have outsmarted the great "unite-er". They are accomplishing what Saddam couldn't. They are killing thousands of American while at the same time breaking their financial back. I for one ,do not believe the Iraqi love us & regard us as "liberators". Where in the hell do you get the idea that the liberals are aiding the enemy? Seems to me the "unite-er' is aiding the enemy. building new infrastructure in their country. Giving away billions of taxpayer dollars & then claiming it was "lost". It isn't the liberals breaking the back of our military & destroying our ability to pay for the care of AMERICA!!!!

The only good news would be the end of this fiasco.

Liberals have never aided the enemy. That is just inflamatory language issued by some lonely, attention-deprived fourteen year old who is looking to laugh maniacally after reading some serious answers; or an idiot Con hypnotized by the dogmatic dribble perpetuated by the Republican Party.

Is the US no longer a Democracy? How sad.

About 70% of Iraqis believe security has deteriorated in the area covered by the US military "surge" of the past six months, an opinion poll suggests.
The survey by the BBC, ABC News and NHK of more than 2,000 people across Iraq also suggests that nearly 60% see attacks on US-led forces as justified.

This rises to 93% among Sunni Muslims compared to 50% for Shia.

Tell me, are 70% of Iraq terrorists/insurgents?

Blah blah blah, more BS. We only need 3 to 6 months, we only need a year, we only need 6 to 9 months, they've been saying that for FOUR YEARS! Mebbe the 2 to 3 thousand troops they send home can make up the difference for the ones that came home dead. And no one accuately knows how many Iraqis have been killed, so they can be "free". Free to give their oil to big money corps.

Are you kidding. they will be more determined than ever. If the intel people are on their toes this afternoon, I bet they may intercept a lot of phone calls from DC on how to start more trouble. I also wonder if Peloser will make another message trip to Syria and meet withe Russians again.

All the General did was to again tout the administration line again. Another Bush puppet. Of course our pencil-dick Congress will buckle under again. I guess Nancy needs to get a pair before she is taken seriously.
