You've never stood in line for 3 hours only to miss a flight and sit in an airport for another 4 hours to catch a flight that will 2 hours longer than the original flight, because that is the quickest you can get to your destination. The reports I heard said that people were annoyed, but most were accepting of the whole situation. They don't want to die to get where their going, they just want to get there.

I didn't hear of much complaining reported. I think alot of people were shocked when they got to the airports this morning, and realized that alot of the stuff in their carry ons, that were FINE last night, were now on the banned list, and so they had to get rid of them. I know had it happened to me, I usually carry a makeup case on the plane, with my contacts, glasses, prescription meds, makeup, moisturizer, shampoo, etc in it. I wouldn't have been happy at ALL to have been told I needed to get rid of all that--because that would represent a huge financial investment, but I'd rather do that to be safe. It's a pain to stand in a security checkpoint line for over 4 hours, and then to wind up missing your flight because of it, but if that's what we have to do to be safe, then so be it.

Because some people have places they need to be....maybe someone has a dying child or something and need to get to them. They don't have time to stand there in line waiting on some inane new airline policy. It's totally ridiculous!

Plain delay? whats that-- a delay that is not exciting?
OK let me tell ya what. If somebody wants to bomb something bad enough, they will find a way NO matter what. Crazy people that they are.
What's next, if somebody tried to sneak a bomb on the plane up their @$$, willl they let us take our a$$es on the plane? I mean, it's ridiculous. You know, doctors kill more people than terrorists, maybe we should ban them too? C'mon everybody, wake up.

I understand you perfectly on this issue.....I mean people just love to complain about anything now a days. It's like I have always said, "Loser's complain, Winner's train".
