How they banned beverages, toothpaste, hair gel, cream, suntan lotion, etc. from carry-on luggage. How wack is that?

Seeing as how...
1) airlines serve beverages,
2) if you use toothpaste, hair gel, or suntan lotion on a plane you've got serious hygeine compulsions, and
3) a bunch of dudes just tried to blow up Western civilization using liquid explosives contained in those items,
...I don't think it's too "wack" at all.

I won't be flying in the near future, those rules are retarded. Banning more stuff isn't going to save us from terrorist. They need to actually go after them. People who say those rule are going to make us safer, how? The only way to keep us safe is not to bring any carry on luggage at all. Sooner or later they are going to ban everything. I am not ignorant about past events. But I do know that if people are really concerned with their safety, they wouldn't be flying in the first place.

They banned the stuff as a way to avoid transporting liquid explosives. The things they are banning can be purchased at your destination at any dollar store when you get off. its not liek your gonna brush your teeth in the plane.

Any of you who think that's wack, your dumb and hopefully the next terrorist scare on a plane is the one your on. I can't believe any of you think it's stupid, your the stupid one for not being educated on things, We at TSA try our hardest to make everyone happy, changing the rules because to many complain about things that get taken, then you still complain. For those who think it's wack, please don't fly ever again, and if something does happen to one of our planes DON'T blame TSA, blame the rest of the complainers that wanted things to change.

Yeah, we received a memo about it at work. I think it's good if they must do it to keep us all safe. It's because they found out that the people they arrested were going to use liquid explosives on planes.

It sucks, but it must be done.

I don't think it is whack, people are scared and have the right to be,
if you really think about it, today could have been another 9/11 maybe even worse. The fact that they are acting so quickly just makes me proud. And anyone who disagrees with it and is more worried about their convienience rather than their saftey....is pretty ignorant to past events.

Let's see...not being able to brush your teeth during your flight or potentially being blown to smithereens...tough choice.

Because the unfoiled terror plot had to do with peroxide bombs.
