Yeah, jokes about hockey and dark nights with sled dogs aside, I am going to Vancouver, and then taking the train to Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a few days in Jasper, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. Anyone have any cool ideas? This is a once in a lifetime thing. It's my honeymoon!

I'm flying to Barbados from the UK next week and am staying there for two weeks. But because the tour operator has got an itinery planned, I only have on day at the start of the holiday to do what I want. Is there a way to overcome the jet lag on that one day?

Help us plan our road trip.

Some friends and I are planning a US road trip. We want to visit each of the 48 continguous states. Our mission is to visit at least 1 or more karaoke bars in each state. However, we disagree on how long our trip will, or should take.

At first, we agreed on 3 months (we need to be back in Seattle by the time winter quarter begins). But now, we are not so sure. Has anyone traveled through all of the lower 48 states? If so, how long did it take?

Even if you have not done a US road trip before ( We drove to San Diego once; then we walked across the border to Tijuana.), how long should we take? We want to allow enough time to visit karaoke bars in each state.

I have this swiss army knife that I have had ever since I was little and I use it almost every single day. I will be traveling to Australia and New Zealand in about a week for 22 days and I'm not sure if I could live w/out it. It' is about 1.5 inches long and it does have a sharp tip. It also includes a small scissors with a sharp tip aswell. I looked at the TSA guidlines but they weren't much help when it came to this question of mine. I would appreciate if someone could give me some advice. Thanx.
