Keali'i Reichel records a good mix of contemporary Hawaiian music. Makaha Sons, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Na Leo Pilimehana, and the Bothers Cazimero. Personally, I like the Sunday Manoa. It's the Brothers Caz with Peter Moon. They recorded some beautiful stuff in the early 70's but their music is timeless!

Elvis Presley's version of the Hawaiian wedding ceremony ceremony music. Sounds kinda cheesey yet its extremely very efficient. For something more desirable contemporary-day, attempt listening to interior of sight artists including Hapa, Na Leo o Pilimehana, Makaha Sons, Keali'i Reichel, Amy Gilliom

There is some great Hawaiian Music.... I don't think Jack Johnson counts.. he does live on Oahu but doesn't sing hawaiian music....but some other good ones are:
Neo Leo, Reichel, Iz, cool elevations Makaha sons.....list goes on and on...

My favorite hawaiin singer is Jack Johnson and he has a veirty of music. He is awesome.

IZY!!!!.... Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.... I like his "Facing Future" album... he was a great artist!
