I've been on that cruise, but did not partake in any of the entertainment. We had problem after problem on our trip, mostly because of the 'guests'. The clientel was scary. We made the best of it, but it was difficult because everywhere you turned there were smokers, drunk trashy people, kids screaming, and people yelling at each other. The food was mediocre, at best, and I plan to never take a carnival cruise again.

Carnival has activities for all ages. They have kids clubs specifically for children. They also have areas designated for adults only.

As far as the entertainment, Carnival's entertainment is kind of described like Las Vegas style shows. So not everyone feels it is appropriate for younger children. And then, Carnival is a party boat. People onboard are generally college-aged kids or younger families. Drinking and gambling is the main attractions for a lot of the adults onboard. So, in some cases people with young children don't feel it is a great environment with young children.

If you have kids, the clubs are great and they will enjoy. But the Pride is still a good boat for a family and adults.
