ok i'm a swimmer and not bad at all. my best stroke is butterfly and i practice w/ people well above my age at swim team. i'm doing middle school team. Theres this girl that is friends w/ my friend who is on r club team and she claims she has a private instructor that makes her do a 500 butterfly SWIM for warm up and warm down. i'm like well i swim w/ older kids and r coach doesn't even make us do that. I mean we do 300 drills but not swim... is that believable to u? cause my favorite stroke is butterfly and my best and i cant even do that. This girl who told me this is doing the middle school team. Honestly i really dont believe her because i'm the fastest butterflier on my club team and i would b dead if i did a 500 fly and for warm up? its warm up... i think shes lieing, the only person who could probably do that is micheal phelps... do u think she's lieing?

hey i am in 8th grade right now, i play basketball and football, center in basketball, and tight end in football. I am 6 ft 3 and very tall for my age. Anyway, i have been told a lot that i have a swimmer's body and that i should try it (broad shoulders, long arms, long legs, flat feet, etc) anyway, i was thinking about getting into swimming but i dont know how good i would be...

i took swimming lessons when i was little and i know most of the strokes, just i probably dont have very good form, and i dont know the associated kicks

i was also wondering how i could get good before or during high school ( i dont wanna suck and look like a retard in the pool) or if you think i would be good

i am/have been lifting weights the past months if that means anything

Okay. I'm 13, and I'm like a major tropical theme lover lol. Yeah I love in CO and have fake plam trees in my room and beach chairs and stuff. Anyways, I love looking at the ocean and walking on the beach.. I am going to Florida in a couple weeks to visit my grandma, I guess the beach is right down the street from where she lives. The exact location is Fort Myers Beach, Flevoland. So I'll be spending a lot of time on the beach. I have always wanted to swim in the ocean. But I'm soooooo freaking scared! My granma always talks about how she find big groups of sea urchins on shore and she also almost walked on what she didn't think was a group of like 15 jellyfish!!! Eeew gosh it makes me get the creepy crawlies thinking of what could brush across my legs. What is your opinion? Am I overreacting or is it really not a good idea to swim in the ocean??? I also looked at a website for her area and it says "Worlds safest beaches". Hmm.. Oh and if I decided to swim I would only..

Have u ever gone swimming in a pool or the c somewhere warm (i.e. HI, PR, Bahamas, Mexico) at nighttime? What's nice about swimming @ night instead of in the day? Less crowds? Is that also a nice setting 2 have a significant other or spouse nearby? (I'm probably gonna give a thumbs-up 2 a female answerer who has a nice story or anecdote 2 this.]

What kinds of people go there?
And explain why people choose to go to this place (instead of other places)*
