I just signed up for a scuba class, went to pick up the equipment and I literally can hardly lift the tank more than a few inches off the ground. I'm 5'3" and 96lbs. Can I still dive? The man who worked there didn't seem to care and just carried it for me. I'm trying to imagine how I'm going to put this on my back without tipping over. It's kind of embarrassing!

Every year, we hear about reports of children drawning. Why isn't swimming a course given in school in the US? An enfant can learn how to swim within weeks.

When you're in fresh water for a long time, your fingers and toes get puffy because they absorb water. What do you think will occur when you swim for a long time in the ocean?

i'm always needing to buy new swimsuits, so i'm just wondering what are some ways to get chlorine out of a suit. Like, would you rinse it in hot or cold water? and also, is wearing 2 swimsuits to practice better than just one?

it was a blistering hot day,so hot the tar in the road bubbled,we were all swimming in the local railway dock, and finding cinders to bag up and sell, one of the lads climed to the top of a crane, gave out a tarzan cry and dived straight off the top,he never came back up and when found by police divers his head was stuck solid into the mud.(tell you later)

We have a big pond in our pasture. While the pasture is fenced in, kids have a way of wandering around. We want to get our child to the point where she can swim if she wanders into the pond by accident. Do you think giving them kicking lessons and the like, before they can really swim, will make the pond more tempting, however?

Well, I just started swimming two weeks ago. I've never really swam before in my life. This is my last week. I've never had this problem before, except in the last few days:

Whenever I swim for more than 30 minutes (ONLY doing freestyle and backstroke) I tend to get a headache and get nauseated. I almost threw up today, and I had to sit down for about 10 minutes before I could get a grip on myself.

Is there something I should be concerned about? Oh, and I'm a freshman in high school.

I just want to know what you all think if I should join or at least try or not cause I am kinda unsure and I would like you to be specific as to why and what I should do to improve, and just so you know I love to swim so add that to ur opinion.
