Can you swim and how old were you when you learned?

My mammy practically threw me into the pool when I was 6 months old. It sounds sad but its true all babys can float.
Today I swim for the country!lol and have three gold and 2 silver and 3 bronze state national medals. not to boast, but it most have worked! Im a wee fish!lol

Yes I've Been Able To Swim Since I Was 4 And I Ended Up Swimming For Inverclyde [My Region In Scotland] But Then I Had To Give Up Due To School And So On Although I Am Considering Going Back.

I can swim pretty good. I learned when i was 2 or 3 and i have been on a swim team since i was 5.

Yes, I learned when I was little around 4 or 5, but I couldn't swim well until I was about 12 and joined a swim team.

I learned to swim when i was about 5 i think and i have been swimming competively since about 7

I learned when l was six yrs old, taught by a man whose children had drowned. He charged a minimal fee at a hoiday resort pool...and told us that as soon as we could get the money from the bottom of the pool we could have it....in those days, money was not so easy as it is today, and we soon learned to swim and dive. It was a salt water pool, the first lesson was to keep eyes open in the water...no goggles..he told us that sinking ships did not carry goggles..better to do without. I always remember him, and am grateful for his teaching...swimming is so relaxing.

When I was 6 or less I think. My parents usually brought me swimming in pools. I started floating at 6, then I went in deeper parts of the pool. When I was young, I was more swimming for fun but now I start practising crawl, breadstroke, flip turn etc...

when i was four i took classes, and learned, after that ihave always been a strong swimmer, and i could stay in the water for hours, or days, if i could.....i love swimming, and my kids do too, my dad was a real jerk about it though, he always told me to stay in so the water only came to my belly button, and yeha i could swim better then that, i had to save my brother from drowning once, and since then he has learned to swim too.

As my mother tongue i was started learning to swim with my mother two hands about 9 months old.
