I just want to know what you all think if I should join or at least try or not cause I am kinda unsure and I would like you to be specific as to why and what I should do to improve, and just so you know I love to swim so add that to ur opinion.

My Problem is that I am kinda weak from an infection and our swim team lets in everyone that wants to try out I just don't think I'll be good enough for competition.

I was in the exact same spot as you about 2 years ago. I went to a pool almost every day but didn't get any formal training. I say go for it. On most swim teams there is a beginner-lane, where new swimmers can just learn the strokes, or simply get into shape. As far as only swimming 50 yards, thats not a problem. When I joined I could only swim a 25. Most importantly though, make sure that you are having fun. I know it sounds corny but it's true.

Absolutely. You will be able to build strength up through swimming. Don't expect immediate results, but if you keep trying, you will get better.

Be careful in the deep end.

Go for it. Could I suggest you work out some, practice some, get in shape some, swim some before you actually try out. Start off slowly so you don't injure yourself. Hope everything works OK for you, good luck!

depends on the team, but sure.
my highschool team had a wiiide variety of skill levels.
there's always a "slow lane," in-between lanes, and fast lane.

some people couldn't dive, some couldn't flip-turn, and then there were the skilled ppl who completed 100m before u finished your second lap ...

u should go for it; after a few weeks, you'll get a lot stronger and not even realize it.

as for competing, don't worry about it. i was pretty slow, and they usually placed me in relays with 3 other people.

You should try if you want to. Swimming will help you gain your strength back. Just start out slow and build.
