You'll have to check with Dairy Queen as to what their age restrictions are, but generally you have to be 16 in order to get a job. Sometimes you have to get permission to work, so check with Dairy Queen about this to be certain. Only the people at the place you wish to work can answer these questions.

I'm not sure about Michigan state law, but in NH where I live, you can get a job at 14. You can't work past 7 on weeknights though, because you need time for your schoolwork.

Once you're 16 though, I believe you can work until 9 or 9:30 pm.
