Some running or biking will help your cardiovascular endurance. Also start doing more push ups and especially core excercises like air kicks and crunches. A strong core is great for swimming and especially butterfly. Weights are an okay choice if done right. Try to build lean muscle by doing lower weight and higher reps.

Swimming is a very eduranced sport. Try running or biking to help endurance. Then for the muscle do crunches, flutter kicks(lay on your back and lift your feet up and kick fast for time), lunges help your legs, streamline jumps help with your push offs(start on the groung in a frog position and push off the floor hard into streamline, do this repetively). If you want to be good at a certain stroke do arm and leg work for free and back, ab work for fly and leg work for breast.

I think your best effort is to join the swimming club or community swimming training lessons if available in your area. I am a self trained good swimmer from Hoinan Island, China.

push ups, sit ups, squats, lunges, step ups,(step up on to a stool or something one foot at a time, to really work it, jump after you put your first foot up), run, bike, hold your legs about 6 inches off the ground while laying on your back, umm...that's about all I can think of right now.

Do some aerobic exercise like biking or running. Also work out your chest muscles with weights. One exercise might be holding dumbbells out to your sides and bringing them to you chest then back out slowly.
