People like me freak out when certain individuals get into the pool with T-shirts on because (1) it is dirty (specially if you went directly to the pool without changing) and (2) this is not the proper clothes for swimming. Swimwear (i.e. swimsuits and shorts/trunks without zippers) is the "dress code" in the pool.

the material will mest up the filters. but it can also mean that its a drill for the lifeguards. idk where ur from but here in L.A. when someone jumps in the public pool with a t-shirt on (usually it has to be white) it means its a drill for a lifeguard to jump in a "save" the person...but try not to wear it cause it will clogged up the filters

Cotton in the shirts clogs up the filters. Back in the 60's that is why most swimming at the YMCA was nude for the men.
