These routes are just to the left of the famed "Crest Jewel 5.10a" on North Dome which I followed several years ago. One of these may be the top of the "Royal Arches Route" which starts on the Valley floor, but I don't want to do the entire "Royal Arches", I want to approach from the Tioga highway side and end the route back at the top of North Dome.

I recently moved into a new house that is surrounded by woods and I found two good trails and spots with plenty of signs of deer. I want to setup up tree stands for next year's bow hunting season but I don't want to mess around with these spots too much now because I don't want leave my scent around there and spook the deer. The spots I found are both under oak trees. I have noticed deer droppings, buck rub on some trees, and tracks. I laid down two bags of corn already. I was thinking about purchasing some Deer Cane to attract them. Will my scent from walking through there keep the deer away from now on? I need some help on how I should go about finding a perfect spot to put up a tree stand, what to look for and anything that will help. I am pretty new to bow hunting.
Thanks

Could a person hit an 8" target fairly consistently a 100 yards? What about 200 yards? Do you have to be a really skilled shooter to achieve this, or simply a moderately skilled shooter? Is there a difference in accuracy with the Russian made ones that most of the world uses and the ones made in the USA and other countries, or are they all the same?

I've shot an M16A1 & M16A2 but I've never shot an AK before and I'm wondering how it compares accuracy wise.

She knew I was an avid hunter before we got married, and she has knowingly eaten and even cooked deer meat. For some reason, now, my hunting is a problem. I've tried all the logical arguments, but she still gets upset when I go hunting...Help!

My father in law got a Mauser hunting rifle from his late father who actually bought it at the Mauser plant in Germany many years ago. He has a box of rounds and they are 8x68S. Does anyone know where I can find this round?

Thanks

I have been shopping around and looking into getting a barrel for my encore for varmint hunting. I was curious if anyone out there has experience with both the .204 ruger and the 22-250? If you do, can you give me some pros and cons for each. Thanks for your help

I just took up hunting 3 years ago. I absolutely love it. It's funny though. I'm from a small town where everyone knows everyone. During the week, they see me go back & forth to get my children & such...normally dressed like a lady. When the same folks see me around 5:00 am with no make - up & camo from head to toe, they give me a bit of a different look. (Especially the men.) I am very serious about my hunting & fishing. Size does matter. I do skin & keep my own meat. I don't expect anyone to do it for me. I'm just wondering what people really think about women hunters. My husband jokingly says he couldn't get rid of me if he wanted cause he couldn't afford to find a new hunting / fishing buddy. But what do you think? (Please don't offer needless opinions about the "morals" of killing animals. I don't like basketball, which is why I stay away from those questions. I'll only hide your answer & still go take a deer down this weekend. Real answers, please.) Thanks.

So my husband & I were getting our ice shack ready for the lake last night...we got to talking about how many people we've met (from warmer places) who think that the whole concept is SO bazzar. For anyone who's never experienced this, what do you think of it? Would you ever like to try it?

a well-known farm stall not far from where i live, is famous for the variety of game (springbuck, eland, redbuck, etc.) they keep near the shop. a while ago, the owner had to shoot an eland, as it was very old. a "professional hunter" came to know of it, calling the owner and asking him to give him the opportunity to kill it in order to get a trophy. the "hunter" brought his bow and arrow, took the shot fifteen feet from the animal, injured it and let it bleed to death while watching.

please tell me that i, an ethical hunter, am not wrong in feeling like i could kill both the owner and "hunter" from a distance of fifteen feet!!

I was on a site a week or so ago, I think it was Planetfear and I stumbled across a picture of a girl with a really nice tatoo on her shoulder bouldering. And she had this bouldering mat with a really nice cover. I don't remember the name of the company that make them, although it was given. I don't remember anything about the picture other than what I've just said. Does anyone know any companys that make cool bouldering mats?

In Hollywood you see the protagonist pull out a handgun, then screw a silencer in to the end of the barrel. Does any handgun take a silencer, and are silencers a 'unversal' fitting?

If not, what sort of handgun takes a silencer- is it the type of handgun, the calibre, what? And how do you know if a gun is suitable for silenced use?

Just curious. Thanks!

I can only get 1 handgun and it will only be for target shooting and range purposes.I have shot both guns but I cannot make up my mind. I like the XD better but the glock 34 has longer sight radius and it uses a polygonal barrel. I need your opinions. the cost difference is less than 100 bucks. I dont want to make the wrong decision. which one do you guys like? thanks in advanced

but I worry sometimes If I'm carrying it in my purse..or if my daughter is at home.... I think i would feel better with some sort of safety.... or lock rather on the gun.

Also... if I did have a lock on the trigger... how hard would it be to get it off if I needed to?
