Ok I know the type of gun (Remington 700) I know that he wants a 7mm 08. So my question is what is you preference and why......

Synthetic stock or walnut?
Detatchable mag?

Links to the three I'm looking at:

Does the stock material matter for anything more than cosmetics because that really doesn't matter to him. I just want to make sure I'm buying him a gun he will get some good use out of.

Thanks :))

Its in really great shape. Hardly any markings on it. It has a synthetic stock. Leupold scope mounted.
A friend is trying to sell it. He thinks its worth at least $800. I doubt that much.

I have a fairly new Walther pistol which accepts 380 ACP, 95 FMJ (aka 9mm Kurtz) rounds.

I've always used Winchester's 380 ACP rounds for my pistol, but today, I was at a sports store, and I noticed that there was a box of 380, 95 FMJ made by Winchester, which cost half of what a box of 380 ACP would be.

As the same manufacterer made both of these types of ammo, I am wondering then if these two are two completely different calibers? Or are they compatible with each other?

Hi all, I have a semi-automatic handgun that I keep in a gunsafe, and I was wondering if there are any downsides to keeping an EMPTY magazine in the gun for longterm storage?

I would keep the magazine and the pistol side by side, but since the gun safe is on the small side, I was considering inserting the magazine into the gun for longterm storage. Are there any adverse effects this might have on springs inside the gun, etc?

It rattles a little bit when i twist it back and forth. It only has 1oo rounds thru it so far. The magazine is out when it rattles. It is the slide because it wont rattle when i have my thumb on it.
Thanks! I enjoy the M&P 40 and am happy with my purchase depending on the answers i receive.

I just got a Mueller APV scope against my better judgement for my "toy" gun, a Sav .17hmr. So far I am REALLY impressed with it. For the price, the features were hard to beat. I wasn't expecting this kind of quality from what I think is a Chinese company. I bought this based on recommendations at rimfire central and so far I really like it a lot but it's only been two weeks so the jurys still out. Anyone have any experiences with this manufacturer? I am mostly concerned with longevity and long term quality. It does come with a lifetime warranty, but that doesn't mean anything if the company goes out of business.

Hi, I'm running the Christmas competition at our local pistol range and I was looking for suggestions. We usually shoot static paper at 10 and 20 metres and hope to look into practical in the new year. We use .22 up to .45. I want to do a competition that doesn't just favour the experienced shooters and that will be a bit of fun with a good chance for novices to win a prize. There'll be probably only 15 shooters at max. Suggestions regarding reindeer mounted targets are not welcome!
